I don't think Bowsercide is escapable, but Flame Choke can be mashed out of like Ridley's side special. However, it's harder to do if you have more percent than Ganon according to a load screen tip, and you might escape from the hold too low to survive anyway.

Bowsercide does kill Bowser first and it doesn't seem to put opponents into grab release state, and this allows some characters with extremely good recovery to just furiously mash jump to come back from the bottom though.

Honestly the best way to do this is not get down a stock because they’ll ALWAYS die first. If you’re at even stocks you don’t have to worry about it. They’re not super difficult attacks to avoid and some characters can even recover from the bottom of the blast zone where Bowser and Ganon let go. Chromside is way more effective and can be combo’d into

Also make sure when you get hit with them on stage you ALWAYS tech roll. Way too many people get punished by Ganon’s command grab for not teching (same with Inceniror’s and Ridley’s)

Neither -cide is to be worried about, since Bowser/Ganondorf will die first. Now, if only Chrome/Ike would die first. That'd make them think twice.

I recently learned that you can DI the direction of Bowser's side special and unless you're at a significantly higher %, you can always prevent them from taking you off the level.

I think the difference there is, Aether and Soaring Slash are really no different than the stall and fall spike Dairs, like Bayonetta's. Rather, Ike and Chrom don't even have any chance of surviving when they pull those out unless they're at the ledge.

Just wait until the game suspends us bowserciders for another 2 hours and 45 minutes. Then well get replaced with a bot and youll win.

Ridley has a stall and fall d-air, but more often than not dies. Chrom/Ike have a bad recovery, moreso Chrom, but I don't see why having a bad recovery should let Chrom/Ike potentially win. If it's obvious to the developers that both characters have a bad recovery, then maybe the developers should avoid giving these characters bad recoveries.

Ah, I'm not talking about their recovery, I'm only saying Aethercide falls into the same category as stall-n-fall spikes, which also end in favor of the user most of the time, and in that regard coming out the victor doesn't mean all that much when characters like Bayo and Zamus can pull theirs off and return to the stage. The only big deal about them is their incredible set spike strength given to them to make them link properly with the final hit.
