At my school some websites are blocked which is ok and understandible but lately there is a group of kids that some how got past school security, dispite being on there acounts. I know for a fact that they got on face book, but I hear that getting on youtube is possible (I do wish to get on youtube during school as it is one of only three websites I visit frequently.) how do they do that? Any ideas?

Most proxy sites will be blocked by the filter, but there's always new ones that don't get tagged correctly that sneak through.

You can also bypass the filter by replacing the urls with https:// instead of http://

At least, in my experience. Takes some doing tho.

Put ultrasurf (a proxy program) on a USB key. It will most probably work.

As for youtube, it depends if you school has blocked flash video or not. If you have a proxy you will be able to get on, but if flash video is disabled, than you won't be able to watch anything

Damn my highschool did that too. Soooo stupid. But kinda makes sense since half of my high school liked to look at porn while at school. Anyways speaking of youtube...This is a trailer for a video game I created with 3 other guys as our sophmore project. Yeah definitely sounds like proxies, proxy.org is a pretty decent site to find fresh proxies from.
