How do I play Fox correctly?

I had a $5 MM with Banks (a sheik player from Maine) 2 weeks ago.

Lost it 3-2.

I'm wondering if anybody could provide some feedback for me? I don't quite know how to play Fox so I'm mostly just working on tech skill, spacing, and learning my options.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHdegasUBrE - Banks wins

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rlz_J1VNzSM - I win. Also this is my favorite match out of the set.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPqeV37wsuA - I win

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwpKlxlReNg - Banks wins

If whoever is kind/bored enough to watch all (or any) of these matches please refrain from mentioning things like "I noticed you did an upthrow and then just upsmashed when he was clearly landing on a platform..."
I'm aware, things like that were just technical errors on my behalf.

Thanks :D

You seem to like attacking a lot
Unfortunately sometimes you attack when he's clearly ready for you / when you shouldn't be ... like when he's crouching or when he's ledgestalling
There's a lot of getting hit by random Sheik moves -> Fair -> death

Also why'd you salty him for FoD instead of actually counterpicking xD

Dunno what else to say about those matches

With the ledgestalling what I try to do is poke my way into his spacing and then move away as soon as I can. It's the best way to get him off the ledge when he is camping is (aside from just running to the other side, but that forces an approach from either side, and it is much easier to be right there to punish his get up while feigning an approach)

I went back to FoD cuz I felt that I could have won the first match, but he's too good so I went to my preferred CP which was RC

I'll try to slow down my game a little next time and realize when he's trying to bait me. In some situations I can notice that and punish correctly (I got some good reads in this set) but, evidently, in others I'm just nair-ing into a combo or just plain approaching wrong.

Well don't take my word for it haha, I'm a mediocre Fox at best. I'm just commenting on things that I think I see myself doing whenever I play against Sheiks (which is admittedly not very much)

Have you tried timing it so that the tv/gamecube your playing on randomly drops power during tourney sets? After that my power level rose and Banks is so afraid of the TV shutting off he just forfeits to me now.

When you you're low %, crouch cancel everything that ***** throws at you.
When she is off the edge and needs to use up-B, hang on the edge, wait for it, then bair her off again.
Rinse and repeat.

Only saw a bit of the 3rd match, you double jump ALOT, I guess it's not bad...but really noticeable, and if you get hit...then your dead.
