i use it. all you do is put the youtube video url in. click download. and that's it. but the video should be flv i think. Prisim Video Converter www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html, you can download it and use it to convert videos into whatever you want. like for cell phones, you can convert it into a .3pg file or you can convert it into a wmv file.
oh goodness. I've already posted two links with info that have satisfied people. I don't think they need any more coming :).

vixy.net is faulty if you're a PC user, i've got this on my mac and it works all the time.

I personally use vixy to get audio content only. If i want the video I use a screen recorder.

This is why I love Linux.

To save a YouTube video (or virtually any other kind of Flash video), I just go make a copy of the Flashxxxx file in my /tmp folder. ^_^

I use a program called Moyea FLV Downloader, and I'm very happy with how well it's always done for me. It will capture pretty much any flash video, not just youtube. Look it up.

This is why I love Windows, a simply freeware app that I paste the URL of any YouTube vid and it spits out a perfectly good editable video file in a few choices of formats. Then it can convert it to even more formats if you wish.
