How devoted are you to the character(s) you support?

I was a huge Sonic supporter...and when i found out he's in I was in class and I just went into a complete state of euphoria that now I almost really dont care who else is gunna be in... i mean yea I want Krystal, Miciciah, Minda and Wolf Link combo, and Mega Man...
but none of them would give me that thrill of excitement now that i know sonic is in...
Characters do matter, and even if i dont like sonic's play style... just the fact that he's in the game makes me happy, but i dont think i have to worry too much about the way he plays since characters look like they're more balanced, and he's a speedy character... plus i adapted how to use all characters in melee... some better than others... so it souldn't be a problem...
but just so happens that i dont like a character i'm hoping for to come in...
so far, brawl has a very nice set of characters already, and aside from sonic i plan on using Pit, Diddy, PT, Metaknight, and of course Mario, Samus/Zamus, and Pikachu...

If a character gets in that you didn't think deserve it, but yet s/he has an amazing and original moveset... would you care?

Thats already happened for me - Pokèmon Trainer. And I definitely care - I truly believe he shouldn't be in the game, regardless of his moves, since its not the moves that make him worth of being playable, they just facilitate his presence. But theres nothing I can do about, so theres no point in complaining, which is why I almost never speak about him.

I base characters I believe will be in on mainly three concepts:

-Their popularity in the public,
-The significance in their represented series,
-Their ability to be adapted into an SSB game.

There are characters I believed would be in based on the above criteria but did/do not openly support.
eg: Sonic, Diddy Kong, 1x fire emblem representative (Ike), Dedede, and Lucas. good characters, but I know they would be in.

I tend to support the borderline cases, such as those outlined in my sig (with the exception of Ridley and Ganondorf, its near impossible for them not to be in). I will not usually support a character who has little or no chance to make it in. And if I happen to like the characters I believe have a shot, all the better.

I support characters because I:
-like them
-believe they would fit perfectly in the game and could bring something new to the table
-some of the characters I support could do to their franchise like what Marth and Roy did to theirs...
-mine are pretty reasonable(the ones I really support...there are others which would be nice to have but I wont break down if they arent in...then again...I wont break down even if the ones I truly support arent in either)...

if they sucked eternal bawlz in Brawl if they were in...I would secondary them I guess...unless they just get ***** even by Sandbag in which case I wouldnt...

I'm not a rabid, "I'LL RIP YOUR HEAD OFF IF YOU DON'T LIKE HIM RAWR!" supporter, but I do like him a lot. Not to mention this is probably his last chance to get back into the gaming scene. I don't even know if I'd actually play as him. So long as he appears and is playable, I'll be happy.

Other than him, though I'm for pretty much everyone. Except Cloud Strife. And Waluigi.

Other characters I support but not as strognly. I do really want Geno in, but I'm not quite as intense as some of the Geno fans.

I want Falco with a new moveset. Even if he is bottom-tier I'll still main and get good as him.

Me? I'm an obsessed Fire Emblem fanboy, I support Roy, Marth and Sigurd for Brawl, no one else (...at least from that franchise, I do support other characters though), specially Roy.

Why Roy? Well, compared to the other Lords (Marth and Sigurd) he got less chances of returning, and to be completely honest, I'd love to see 4 FE reps: Marth, Sigurd, Roy and Ike, my reason is that Fire Emblem should be represented by the real Heroes of their most famous sagas: Akanea, Jugdral, Elibe and Tellius.

I know, Sigurd can't really be considered the real Hero, since Celice was the one who finished the war, but he's very liked in Japan, and Sakurai wanted him in the N64 and GCN versions of Smash, so... why not now?

Honestly, if the character I support sucks, I won't play as them. Example: I love Kirby to death, he's probably one of my favorite Nintendo characters, but I don't main him in Melee.

The characters I support I do so because I truly do think they're good characters and would bring something interesting to brawl in general. Unfortunately considering Sakurai's choices for AT so far he doesn't agree with me. Oh well I still have plenty of obscure/characters I'd like to see in brawl. Either way though what I'll probably do is what I did in melee, which is become proficient with each character and exceptional with a few interesting ones like Zelda, Ness, and Jigglypuff.

I never used Pichu, NEVER.

I used Young Link first, but then I mained Roy... THEN I mained Falco, but Roy became my favorite.

When I first saw the melee roster, the only chracters I disagreed with were Dr. Mario and Pichu, because I truly didn't think they deserved to be in but I didn't necessarily hate them. Thankfully so far there's no one I hate in brawl either, but if there are I would avoid moving my hand icon over their portraits. The only character that I could think of right now that I would absolutely hate though is Cloud.

Come now I'm not so shallow as to hate a character because they vaguely resemble a character I DO hate .

I actually don't think Isaac looks THAT much like Cloud. Besides I think if they make him use his psynergy and overall make him not just a regular swordfighter (which he isn't) in brawl I'd love to see him make the cut.

Anyway, if any of my wanted characters gets in Brawl they way I want/expect them to be, then yes I will main either of those. I'm devoted to my choices, but not dependant. So if they turn out to be way different than I imagined/hoped, I'll probably pick a different character.

So obviously Geno is my biggest hope for Brawl, no one come close

But other than him, i'd love to see Capt. Olimar, i liked Pikmin a lot so i'd be interesting to see what he's like in Brawl

Mewtwo is my favorite pokemon of all time, i just hope he gets buffed majorly in Brawl

Ridley is pretty much a given in my book, im not worried about his appearance

I like Skull Kid, i'd like him to be in Brawl, but unfortunately at the same time i doubt his appearance

As for any other character, i dont care, im not opposed to any character getting into Brawl except two, Sora and Cloud...ugh

As only a true fanboy can be. I keep renovating my main support topic, and include links in my sigs. I request artwork from Devinatart, and write movsets for GAMEFAQS!

And I still find time to breathe, eat, drink, and go out.

After Brawl has come out in Europe, I doubt you'll ever anything from me on here again. I'm really only interested in rampant speculation.
