How can I edit the stats of my amiibo so it does less damage

Its very irritating . amiibos do more damage and it gives them an huge unfair advantage. I believe they survive longer too. Is it possible to edit the stats so it can be kinda normal?

You'd have to feed them equipment that weakens their attack. However, equipment that lowers the attack value also raises the speed value, so you'd end up making your amiibo faster if you want it to pack less of a punch.

You essentially can't. I mean.. you could reset your amiibo to lv1, but then you get to retrain it, and it will only be a matter of time before they reach that point again where they deal too much damage.
