That would be really dumb, actually. Why spend so much time/money when your target audience is someone who's already bought the game? Unless they charge like 8 bucks a character. If nintendo is at all smart (and i'm sure they are) they will add new characters, stages, items and assist trophies into the game through online updates. So brawl would just get better and better!
I can see what you are saying and all I can say is that if nintendo were to make new characters, stages and items for brawl they would probably release them altogether at once and charge you for it. Kind of like how halo 2 charged you for new levels. Also, I'm sure characters wont be 8 bucks each... thats just too **** expensive heheThat would be really dumb, actually. It's not even possible to change the game's coding wirelessly anyway, lol, is it?
Thats if they actually follow through with just the random matches. Look at Halo 2, they have clans and clan matchs implemented do they not?Its going to be hard to really determine a "tier list" at this point. Not only is the game not out yet, but with 40 characters on their way its almost silly to even try to make a tier list. With everyone playing online the whole tournament thing is going to die a little since everyone can finally verse anyone now.
Everyone can say a certain charcter is the best in Smash, but with 40 characters becoming playable online I'm sure any character will have a few counter characters.
