Moveset for Mia
Mia's a speed and timing character, her sword moves have timing spots with higher kick. They are very small windows of oppertunity.
Standing A: Swordhilt
- Quick punch with the sword weilding hand.
A, A, A Combo: Swordhilt, Kick, Horizontal Swing
- Starting the same as A, however this moves into a front kick then steping into a small long hitbox (no large arcing hitbox).
Dash A: Pass Strike
- FE9's Myrmidon Critical animation, low start-up time, ending lag, with a timed strike similar to Shiek's moveset.
Forward A: Horizontal Swing
- A similar hit as her 3rd A hit, but there is start-up lag due to the lack of the kick set-up. Angle can be tweaked like various Melee moves.
Down A: Low Kick
- Mia does a quick trip kick
Up A: Swordspin
- Mia spins her sword in one hand, the hitbox is around her. However unless you were above her the move isn't that powerful.
F Smash: Bushido Swing
- Charging Mia's sword is sheathed, the strike is as she pulls it out, samurai style. Like most of her other forward swings its a long narrow hitbox.
U Smash: Swordflip
- Mia does a frontflip (unlike the backflips the Fox and Pikachu do) striking with her sword. Her sword starts in the same position as Ike's F-Smash.
D Smash: Graceful Whirlwind
- Mia does a quick Peach/Pikachu style spin. It has a nice startup for a Smash but a endlag after she stops spinning. Unlike Peach and Pikachu this will just toss you away in the first strike to hit you.
Nair: Obvious Robbery from Marth
- Obviously the same move Marth does in Melee as a Nair
Fair: S3xstab
- Mia quickly stabs forward. Damage mechanic like the "Sexkicks".
Bair: False Sepuku
- Mia stabs behind herself under an arm, however at some angles it'll look like she's pulling a Yoshimitsu. Ending lag.
Uair: Link Wannabe
- Stealing Link's Uair
Dair: Spikekick
- Standard spiking kick attack.
Spot Dodge: Tech speed, low lag on either end. She's a Swordmaster.
Front Roll: Short range sidestep, doing a cute little spin in the middle (its based off of one of her dodges in 9/10).
Back Roll: Longer than the front roll and not as fast, she does a backflip to get away in this one. (Based on... something out of FE9/10, I can't remember.)
Standard Special Move: Astra
- A DED/DB style five hit combo, variable by changing the second to fifth analog sticks while hitting the Special Attack button. However, like Dedede's Super Jump, you can Feint (Dodge) by pushing back on the analog stick or D-Pad. However per combo you can only feint once. Certain combo strikes spike, and you can't do certain moves in the air.
Side Special Move: Dash Step
- Ike's Ranger Crit. However as a Swordmaster (and a Graceful Whirlwind of Singing Steel) she should have a quick dashing move like it so I don't count it as a negative steal.
Up Special Move: Swordmaster Critical
- FE9 Swordmaster Criticals. While in the air its a spiral sword slash around her while leaping up (middle range all around her). On the ground its a leaping uppercut strike (longer range in front of her). Little left and right movement on either.
Down Special Move: Counter
- All Fire Emblem characters Counter, so says I.
Final Smash: Phantom Astra
- This one is pulling from the Sprite based Fire Emblem games. The classic Swordmaster Critical animation with afterimages and striking from all sides. One person (the one hit by the starting attack) is the focus on the barrage of death, however being too close to him might get you a stray afterimage hitting you for minimal damage. Not being trapped does not make you free to just start beating on the poor soul.
Grab + Strike: Knee to the Gut/face/whatever it reaches.
Forward Throw: Handstand on their shoulders/back/head, when she lands on the other side of them throws forward (doesn't step off a ledge or drop off the stage like Kirby throws).
Back Throw: Rolls back and kicks them off behind her.
Up Throw: Kick to the chin up into the air.
Down Throw: Hook kick to head that drops them to the ground.
Taunt notes: Dialog not taken from the games, I'm putting things in that fit for Mia. Also each part is taken from 9 and 10's post combat animations. Forward and Down Taunts can do Luigi taunt level damage getting hit by them.
Up Taunt: Gently spins her sword in one hand. "Nobody's sword is stronger than mine!"
Forward Taunt: Points sword and dramatic swing to behind her. "Listen to my Sword sing!"
Down Taunt: Spins in place and a dramatic sword swing to behind her. "I won't lose!"
