It has become very evident that a separate thread for Melee players is needed for Houston and despite Houston's terrible track record with making too many threads in the past Dr. Drew has given me permission to make this possible so I thank him for his patience.

Indeed. A melee thread is needed for all of the veterans who still miss all the advanced stuff.
I, for one, have given up on this great game. Hard as hell to find a working disk and I'm neer going to catch up with the major Melee players.
Think that's the reason many of us have switched to Brawl.

This is the central Houston Melee thread. The other thread is simply for that single event.

I'll be busy with work for the next couple of months so I would suggest somebody look into at least trying to host in place of me especially since Ronnie will be leaving in what may be a few months.

But there is a tournament in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on the 22nd of November. From Houston it's like a 4hr 12m drive, at least according to Google Maps.

We should start looking into a venue. Even if it's me hosting at least it won't be so crowded and I won't have to worry about a number of things. Where is Planet Zero relocating by the way? The manager was open to the idea of Melee tournaments. I just gotta approach him with a date. Also hoping it's in an easy to find area.

If i hold melee at my events? would you all go?I would be honored to have Bebobli run that part of the tournament. Think, if it has the HOBO name on it, people from all across the US will go(cause i draw in over 100 people at my tournies). And it will be a 2 day event so you arnt rushed.
