And no, Sakurai did not name Pokemon Trainer because he'd be different Pokemon Trainers. In the Japanese version of Pokemon G/S/C, when you face Red in the mountains he is known as Boy Trainer ???. The American version named him Red.

Well, if you think about it, the ??? makes sense. Because he's supposed to be the character you used in the past, and who knows what the heck you named him?

And yes, I'd said it would matter. Pokemon Trainer was already referred to as a he, and he has his own character avatar on the Brawl page. The alternate costume idea is really coming out of nowhere. Look at the Brawl demo. The worst that happened to anyone was that they changed colours, or they had clothing added (like Pikachu). Red will be the same, I'm sure of this. The alternate costume idea is just really...unfounded.

Blaizken is pretty much deconfirmed with Torchic as a Pokeball.

Another PT is a cool idea. I see it as the only way to get Blaziken Playable. I'd love to play as Mudkip and Grovyle too. Unfortunately I doubt this would happen in Brawl. It's a good idea, but I think maybe in SSB4. PT is still a new concept. People need time to get used to it before they introduce another version of it.

I did have that idea, but many people opposed it. Plus, since Torchic is in a Poke Ball, there's no chance that any of the 3rd generation starters are playable.

It was much worse than all the others, defiantly the worst gen. And it removed so much from GSC (I liked my Gold version way better than my Yellow!) which was the epitome of awsomeness and made some craphole game. Contests were boring (luckily Gen IV fixed them), considering I didn't really like contests in Gen 3 I didn't really need Pokeblocks now did I. Abilities and 2-on-2 battles were the only things that I liked from Gen 3 (I still have no idea what Natures do, I don't really care either).
Gen IV brought back some much needed stuff from Gen II allthough I still want to be able to headbutt trees again, that was awsome! It was also a great way to find pokemon such as Pineco and Aipom because it made sense.

2 of which weren't very useful.
I'm still saying that G/S/C is THE best gen.
4th gen really dissapointed me when they made the only WTR/STL pokemon suck.
And EVs/IVs were so important, that they took so much time and I eventually used that excuse to stop playing.

There's a lot of deserving Pokemon, but it's really not the most significant franchise, so I'd rather see them put in 1 character just like Pokemon Trainer rather than half the roster be from one series. Don't really care who the trainer is, but hopefully the pokemon will be Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, and one other deserving pokemon.

Blaizken doesn't stand too much of a chance, but Lucario is pretty likely. Allthough Sakurai may just throw in a wildcard like Buizel (which would be awsome!)

Because somedays it is less uber than others, I dunno I haven't watched the show in years (aside from the Lucario movie I saw on youtube) and plus the Buizel was just super uber too.
