Hm, so this was basically my first 'real' tournament, besides the smashfests that had mini-singles at it like at Ozzfest and Geasis.
This how it started.
Arrighttttt, so Xyro77 was taking me to HOBO, as he lives less then 5 minutes away from me. He picked me up, and we went to University of Houston to pick up one of his friends by the name of Riot, an old melee player. We got him, and for 10 minutes, had to help Xyro get his other contact in as he was drivin' with only one in. Yeah. lol. We couldn't get it in, so we just went straight to Planet Zero, the venue where HOBO was gonna be at. Along the way, we laughed our ***** off. Riot is hilarious, no joke.
Once we got there, we were early, as we were supposed to be the first ones. With the time we had until someone came to open the doors and start setting the equipment up, Xyro was in the car, his eye bleeding everywhere, and he almost got permanently blinded cause of a contact he couldn't get in. Naw, he finally got in after a few tries lol, and he was doin his laugh. If you've never heard it don't bother reading. YEAHAHAHA.
So the guy finally came, we went in, it looked big from the outside, but once we got in, the place was helllaaa small. I mean, it still worked and all, but we thought it would've been bigger as its an arcade & all. We set up the tables, started puttin' TV's on, hooking up cable and all that borind ****. Finally, people started showing. It was around 11 we started friendlies, but not till around 1 that we started Singles.
Friendliessss. I tried to get as many as I could. Smoom, Razer and Trela. ****2GUD. We were doing dubz and it was LOL. Me and Smoom against Razer and Trela. We got wrapped, but having my Marth living to over 290%+ against a Lucario and Snake, legittttt. I didn't get to play all the people I wanted to, but I was rusty as ****, so I didn't care who I played.
Since Broly was free, I decided to $3 money match him. Bad choice. He 3 stocked my Falco, then 2 stocked my Snake. Broly's spacing is pro, and probaly the best Marth I've seen/played so far, he's capable of being NEO/Roy_R's level with a lil more practice I assure you.
1 v. 1 started, and I decided to go all Falco for this tourney. I went up against CXC's Marth and R.O.B. I ended up winning 2-0. Had to fight TheBadNewsBears next, and he went Marth on me. I think he 2 stocked me both times, I need to camp harder. STFU BOUT BROLY NUGGAHS. So I got sent into losers, and I had to play Fear, a Lucas player. I ended up winning 2-1, his CP ***** him lol. Next was Furbs, he's legit, no joke but he was sick that day also. He went D3/Diddy on me, and I won 2-0. Then, mayneee, I had to face Broly who got knocked into losers by Inui IIRC. Good thing it wasn't as horrible as the money match lmao. I ended up getting him down to last stock both matches, but he ended up winning 2-0.
Then, the drama. My parents called, but I didn't know cuz my phone was on silent. And I'm 15, and my parents are strict as heeellllll. So they called Allan saying that I was supposed to be back early cause I had to go out to my cousins. Well, they told me I had to be back at 7, but they called around 4:30-5 all pissy and *****y. So yeah, I asked Xyro if he could take me back. He pushed me onto the ground and said "N!gga I be runnin diz sheeyut, lil spoild brat nuggah man lolmoney." He couldn't take me, so I had to find someone. Crossjeremiah, bein as cool as he is, took me home after I asked. He wanted me to pay him $10 for a 30 minute trip, but I was tired and didn't care, so I gave it to him. He's a really cool person, pretty chill and everything when I was ridin with him. I was also riding with Koala, LeThien's brother. Maddddd funnyyy guy haha. Though he is pussy****, it's all good. <3
That's basically how it went. I enjoyed this tourney. Talked to alotta cool people like Razer, Trela, Sethlon, Smoom, Inui, Xyro, TypEX, Ozz, Rockettrainer, Smoom, Cross, Koala, KRD, and alotta' other people. It was pretty tight. That's how it went though. I'll edit it tomorrow with more specific details, just somethin quick.
Also, Razer won Singles, and Inui and UTDZak won Doubles.
