Hidden Power

Can someone please explain to me exactly how Hidden Power works.

the attacks depend on what terrain your fighting on..

regular gronud: slam
sand:mud shot
grass:stun spore
high grass:razor leaf
caves: bite
water:surf

or you can find "panels" around mountain to make a secret room,

That's Nature Power. Hidden Power is an attack based on the IVs of your pokemon. Different IV combinations give you different types (grass, water, fire, etc) and powers (30-70), so every pokemon SHOULD have a different Hidden Power in some way.

does anyone have a guide showing how you figure out how much hidden power does? or is there a math equation to figure it out...
