Also, to improve everyone's ego, my New Years Smash Resolution is to be good enough to beat everyone that has made a resolution. Everyone is my target.

You got me there. I haven't played in a Melee tourney since... June/May? But I've been a part of this community since 2004. :O

For myself, well, I'm actually going to put Melee on the backburner a bit. I worked my *** off in 08 and I kind of just want to rest on my laurels a little bit. A TINY bit. But mostly I am going to school in a couple of weeks and I really want to do well, so school is No. 1 priority. I'll still be able to play smash often enough since I'm lucky enough to have a cool job, but I want a 4.0 so I'm probably gonna have to work pretty hard, especially since I haven't worked hard in school since... actually, ever.

For melee, though, I just want to help the community grow, motivate people and help them get better little by little. I want to help people on the Sheik boards and learn more about my character. I want to use Sheik and Marth 95% of the time and retire my ****ty secondaries. I want to play people better than me much more often than before, because I have finally earned it, and now it's the only way to get dramatically better anymore. I want to put myself in the most stressful smash situations possible so I become like Hugo and am more focused than anyone else. I want to use Sheik the vast majority of time in teams and focus on being the best partner possible.

More than anything, though, I want to see what it takes to be as good as Zhu and Lucky and prepare myself to work that hard to attain that level. I never want to be seen as someone who is not constantly improving their game. I felt like I constantly improved last year, and I want to keep that up. I want to make it very clear that there is a significant gap between people like Fly Amanita, Lovage, Atlus, and Tofu (my main rivals) and me. I want to represent SoCal in crews at Genesis. If I achieve this goal, then I can start working towards challenging Mango.
