so i need to know the basics of what i need to play from console, to play on here, and i need to know what i have to buy to get it going. me and my friend have been playing ssb64 real faithfully and we wanna take it online, so please let us know what we have to do to play on here as we were growing more and more interested.

Forum rules don't allow the linking of ROMs unfortunately. For emulator, PJ64K should do you good.

Welcome to the forums!

Lots and lots of info about how to set up online SSB is in the Index thread. The emulator you'll want to use is PJ64K, since that's what 90% of players use (and you have to have the same emulator as your fellow players). As for ROMs, that deals with copyright issues that Smashboards doesn't want to be involved with, so you're on your own there.

anyway i got online smash working, so im gonna borrow my friend's adapter tomorrow, i just join the server and play online? also after configuring the controls and everything, will it feel like console? how can i make it feel like console (because im more used to it)? thanks all. also, if anyone can teach me how to play fox/pikachu/kirby better, that would be really great.

once you're decent, defence > offence in smash

and no, taunting is not good

Australians don't know anything, and the way to get better with those characters is to watch videos of good players and to play good players while focusing on improvement.

It'll feel a lot like console, especially if you configure the controller right. There will be a little input delay, but you'll get used to it.

Anyways, I'm a great person to learn from, even if I haven't been playing at a high level recently. Years of living on the forum has made sure of that.

i just did a pivot edgehog with fox, and it was ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF DREAMLAND

i then proceeded to begin a pivot edgehog on the right side but then hit a up-b as i was facing left (one of those frame perfect ******* inputs) and edgehogged pika somehow, not sure why the fire didn't knock him up

point is, the above two feats make me better than battlecow

depense on how much you allready now. If you cant any advanced technich i suggest you focus on that more than what caracther to use the first 1-2 weeks. Learn to tech, z-cancel and shorthop as a starter. And dash/run more than roll.

When you start to get the hold on those things you cans tart to focus more on your caractherchoise.

make sure your connected to ethernet and not wifi, and close all other tabs when playing. if that doesent help than you just have a slow computer and your screwedd:/
