Heros of Newerth (HoN) is a DotA remake but better graphics and ect.

The game was in beta for a long time, but is now for sale. I loved playing it, but I have not gotten around to buying it yet.

Well i never played DotA or HoN. I just started playing LOL because of this thread, :D and im having a good time playing it.

I tried playing LoL after HoN went on sale and found it was extremely boring in comparison. There seems to be less skill needed to be good and the game runs a bit slower paced than HoN. At least the games lasted less than 30 mins most of the time, whereas if one team didn't concede in HoN the games would go 40-45 minutes long.

O.o League of legends is designed specifically to be a more fast paced game then dota/hon and skill is really champion dependent.

Well, I hate the fact that you cannot deny in LoL, you can cast your spells while facing any direction, and that stupid grass that cloaked everyone. The attack animations also seemed to factor in more in HoN, especially with the denies. I never played more than 15 games and I may be biased against the game but it felt like playing brawl after melee...

On topic, has anyone played with the new heroes that came out when the beta ended? Fun to play/what are they like?

Yea i bought the game and tried them all out.

Gautlet is really weird but strong. He can make kongor stop attacking with one of his skills which is interesting. lol. in the start and mid he is very good at ganking and such.

Bubbles is also a very good character. He can lane anywhere and be good. you don't really die early because he can run away by shooting his shell like malikens sword.
