What does "candles are but wax" mean?

I mean, a candle is a candle, right? Vampires still use them to see.

I thought vampire at first, but then I was like, "What's with the candles", so I thought, well, blind people have no use for candles, and a mirror feels just like glass to them, and they're more comfortable in darkness because then they don't have such a disadvantage.

And vampires can see in the dark, making light and candles unecessary. That goes with the "dim is dearer" thing.

This reminds me. Van Hellsing was a terrible movie.

There's a thread for this in forum games.

ZAPDOS IS BANNED FROM FORUM GAMES

so deal

I have written about two hundred angry PM's to moderators as to why I can be allowed in the Broom but not Forum Games. It was all a big plot to take me out of the running for the ultimate forum game by banning me. They knew I would win so they banned me.... FOREVER.

I think the candles are but wax part is there because sunlight kills vampires, but candles might as well be just wax since candlelight is meaningless for a vampire.

.....and i think its a vampire eating a banana.

I'm in the BRoom so I know many of the mods on a level beyond that of the average PRoomer.

They are horrible, horrible people. Seriously, I think EE mentioned how one time, he was watching an episode of Nowhere Man (great show btw) and he got a phone call from a friend. The interruption pissed off EE so much that he drove 87 miles to the friend's house, knocked on the door, then punched him in the face before kicking him repeatedly once the guy was on the ground. And EE's a big guy. Then, before leaving, he set the house on fire, just to add insult to injury.

And tmw, well... don't even get me started on him. He recently made a thread asking everybody to click on a link to a site that gave your computer a virus when it loaded. It's a good thing my antivirus picked it up. Never ever trust him, ever.

The answer to any hard question, if you ask me, is Mu.

GED: An Eternal Golden Braid? Is that what you were referencing?

The answer Mu applies to all sorts of fallacies, it means "nothing" "none" or "nothingness" in Japanese and is a regular answer on the Irregular Webcomic polls http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/polls/ (which are really freaking hilarious and clever) I haven't hear of the Eternal Golden Braid but it may apply there.

Here's a riddle for you all

A hundred prisoners are each locked in a room with three pirates, one of whom will walk the plank in the morning. Each prisoner has 10 bottles of wine, one of which has been poisoned; and each pirate has 12 coins, one of which is counterfeit and weighs either more or less than a genuine coin. In the room is a single switch, which the prisoner may either leave as it is, or flip. Before being led into the rooms, the prisoners are all made to wear either a red hat or a blue hat; they can see all the other prisoners' hats, but not their own. Meanwhile, a six-digit prime number of monkeys multiply until their digits reverse, then all have to get across a river using a canoe that can hold at most two monkeys at a time. But half the monkeys always lie and the other half always tell the truth. Given that the Nth prisoner knows that one of the monkeys doesn't know that a pirate doesn't know the product of two numbers between 1 and 100 without knowing that the N+1th prisoner has flipped the switch in his room or not after having determined which bottle of wine was poisoned and what colour his hat is, what is the solution to this puzzle?

Zapdos, you're not banned from the forum games. We took that away a long time ago, the black-list thread is in the rubbish bin now, I think. You're free!

Hehe, how long ago?

Poor Zapdos, trying to avoid the Forum Games because of all the painful memories of rejection... has been free for some time now. Zapdos got FORUM GAMED!

Sorry; that was really, really bad...

If you knew it was bad you shouldn't have posted it
I don't know how long ago, I remember being banned from it with Choknater for spamming it for Gil back when we had an RPG, then I left, when I came back it, and MK were gone.

Riddle: We are little airy Creatures,
All of diff'rent Voice and Features,
One of us in Glass is set,
One of us you'll find in Jet,
T'other you may see in Tin,
And the fourth a Box within,
If the fifth you shou'd pursue,
It can never fly from you.

Another one:Once, I was honored as a bringer of wisdom, but am now feared as a stealer of strength.

Men shudder at my approach. Yet if they knew that they would never see me, they would cry out in anguish.

I have a foe, against whom I seek to protect mankind. But he is the stronger; I cannot protect all from him, and even those I guard will eventually fall to him.

Who is my foe?
And who am I?

Oh crap! I actually got that first one!

Vowels! Am I right? Each of those words has a different vowel.

Still working on the second one...

You should have capitalized "fly", though.
