the more I think about it, the cooler it seems to have a giant Japanese fighting beetle as a playable character :D And a fine representative of the 2nd generation. One could cross their fingers and hope for 3 new pokemon fighters, one to represent each extra generation(that way, heracross, blaziken and lucario fans could all be happy). Sadly, this very likely may not be the case.
