Hi everybody. I recently joined SmashBoards but I have been playing SSBM for almost 2 years. Up until now, I didn't really now about any of the special techniques(Wavedashing, spiking, L-canceling, etc) and I would really like some help doing these things. The character that i'm TRYING to become awesome with is Capt. Falcon(obviously) so any help what so ever would be very appreciated. =]

Thank you!

wave dashing isnt really needed for falcon, but practice never hurts, also, say your doing a full jump and you want to down air the guy, do the down air, but when you hear him make a noise, fast fall, it helps.
but for better explanations on things go to http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=42749
good luck with your practice

I find that everytime I spike off-stage after killing my opponent I SD, which is probably because I don't use the c-stick and I fast fall down. What moves are best executed with the c-stick in the air?

It's situational. If you want to DI some other way in the air, then the c-stick, if you don't, then it doesn't matter.

I rarely use the c-stick. I can spike off the stage with the control stick just fine.

Some moves can be executed with the C-Stick rather well. Like the above post(s) said, it can be used for well-timed knees, but some people can execute them about the same with the control stick. I guess it just depends.

Go to that link he posted.

Then go to this link, the CF FAQ
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=53471

Then try out falcon and practice. It WILL help to watch falcon videos of matches here:
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=101135

Then, after all that, ask more specific questions in order for us to help you easily. "How can i get good with CF" or questions in a similar format will only give you vague, disorganized answers. I'm not trying to be a know-it-all. I'm trying to be helpful by giving the exact response you need.
