can anyone offer any tips on how to ledge tech marths counter? i've heard ppl say "hit it later" and i've seen a vid on youtube by timerbomb i think? but it doesn't help me. is there some secret to this?? do i need to SDI tech also? (i usually try to, but i still fail) is ASDI tech even possible? plz help

srry if this belongs somewhere else, such as marth boards, but fox ppl are usually nice and reply faster plus i'm usually fox when i'm the one in this teching situation lol.

That is a good question. I saw Shiz do it before in a vid but I digress. I'm afraid I can't help you there.

I just do my best to angle my Fire Fox as best as I can to avoid the counter.

ya i do my best to sweet spot. but it gets really annoying when i know if i miss it i'm going to be countered then probably gimped...

Teching Marth's counter is pretty difficult. Most of the time, you don't hit the ledge, which often requires you to smash DI into the stage in order to bounce off it. It's much easier for Falco to tech for some reason. Maybe because the bird is a fatty, his fat *** reaches the stage, while the less heavy Fox just misses it. Just something I noticed. I don't really understand why Falco hits the stage more often than Fox.

It's easiest to tech Marth's counter, from my experience, on Yoshi, FOD, and for some reason, Battle Field.

I don't main, or secondary Marth. I hate playing against him as a Falco main, but I love the character, and his franchise to death.

you can't tech unless you hit the stage.

press l when you hit the stage IF he sends you into it or IF you can SDI into it.. and you will tech the edge just like any other move.

sometimes it just is impossible to hit the stage with the trajectory that it sends you though making it untechable.

and obviously you need to wait until he sends you away in order to hit the stage/tech it and not right when you touch him or something.
