I think the most important thing is that you use the tag 3.14 and play a character that you're comfortable and confident with

The problem with this game is that mains are so hard to choose. IMO every high tier character is fun to play. Except Peach, I guess.

I'd have to agree with Doc.
-can cg a plethora of characters, as well as being able to gimmick most of the roster into dying (dthrow fair, cape, ect.)
-pills. Don't be afraid of being a **** with them. on top of having obstacle-course properties, each of them do damage equivalent of 3-5 lasers. It's also very safe to walk behind your pills, as your opponent has to either avoid, tie, or shield. You can pretend to approach behind your pills, and wait for them to respond. If they jump or tie, kick-em, if they shield, grab.
-Doc is great at coming back to the stage in general. Just look at Shroomed.
-ultimate priority/inside fighter
-a variety of killing moves

you have to be a lot better than your opponent to win with Donkey Kong

Sinji, you must not remember when MK used to be tournament legal in Melee. Man, were those bad days. It's a very good thing we banned him early, though. Otherwise, we'd have a URC problem on our hands.

Pichu is where its at.
you can do random **** and then gimp people hella easy.

he's pretty fast, has a **** recovery, and good areal game. He has a decent combo/grab game as well.
although... a lot of combos are just chaining together uairs and doing uair -> Nair/Bair/Dair/Thunder.

if you don't want to hurt yourself and don't mind being fat, Pika works too i guess.

Go on, don't tell them any of Pichu's numerous, numerous shortcomings. Pikachu is honestly a lot cooler (look at Axe).
