Hello, I have issues beating my friend who plays as Luigi. I have issues with his dash attack, because of the multihit. I also have issues with his down-b, which he uses whenever he approaches from the air or gets knocked into the air. I have issues with landing too, as he grabs me as soon as I land. Any tips?

Notice, for instance, how the Falcon player was doing best when:
- he used his superior reach* and gentleman for spacing, as well as the latter for countering Luigi's spot dodges (ground game);
- he used up air and back air (but mostly up-air) to counter the speed of Luigi's aerials (air game).

As someone who verses an army of Falcons on FG, I advise you...

Do stay on the move to avoid being grabbed and run circles around Luigi. Falcon has more range with his limbs so you can outspace Luigi.

Don't get grabbed, or that's about 50% to Falcon, he's easy to combo.

Don't linger offstage long, Falcon is very vulnerable to dair spikes.

Personally the only troubles I've had in tis matchups are around Falcon's movement speed and range on his smashes beating out Luigi. But when I get in as Luigi, I have no problems comboing, and once Falcon is offstage, he isn't that hard to dair spike. Falcon has more reliable kill options too, so he might pull the lead early with a well timed smash.

EDIT: I forgot the fireball! Ok, watch out for it of course, since Falcon has no projectile. But it's not as devastating since Falcon can manoeuvre around them with short hops and whatnot, getting in before Luigi cools down at times. So they are ok in this matchup, Falcon is still big though. This matchup isn't like Ganondorf, who is far too slow mobility wise to defend fireballs at all

What on earth was that shield break at around 6:50? sheik had plenty of shield left and falcon broke it with a dash attack? Mind blown!

i guess i was surprised to see the dash attack take so much of it away. His shield was low but it could of been a lot lower.
