i've been a current reader on these threads for years and developed a rather solid falco even tho i dont attend tournaments and whatnot. well heres the thing, i'm able to fight anybody one on ones, from dr mario to marths, foxes, falcons whatever, but when it comes to all out fights it seems that i cant hold my ground, and get killed easily. all im saying is that how should i incorporate all the falco techniques into fighting multiple players at one time?

Ankoku, be abit more constructive about your advice..you've just went into threads and said unhelpful one liners lately. Hes not at a great competitive level as you can tell so let him have his fun.

In free for alls, just retreat with lasers and go for the kill when someone is high damage, try lasering someone who is already falling to their death so you get the kill..falco can't handle much damage and has horrid recovery so you need to be abit gay about it.

Switch to Falcon and spam fulljump Falcon punches and flying SH knees all over the stage until people get tired of it and challenge you to 1v1.

Honestly though, if you want to stay with falco, SHL or, if your feeling in the mood, LHDL spam on one side of the stage until someone(s) approach you and then either shinecombo if theres one of them or fsmash/dsmash spam if theres more than one. Always try to stay as far away from the fight zone as possible, only jumping in if you know you can isolate one person. The key is really not to get between the other fighters.

I'd say go smash-happy when someone is at a relatively high percent( at around 70%+)

Dont use advanced tactics. they tend to get in the way. just short hop and shffl. throw all that waveshining and wavedashing and other bs out the window. throw smashes all over the place.

I know a falco who likes playing FFA's. He likes to suicide spike people all the time. I'd say, don't shoot any lasers at all, since they'll just get people to attack you. Find an edge, and start practicing your firebird stalling. forever. Remember, FFA's are about staying alive the longest. Just try to run away, using full hopped dairs, nairs, bairs, until it gets to a 1v1, then you should have a stock advantage, and own them.
But seriously, Falcon all the way. Just knee anyone that ends up offstage, and run around like crazy just throwing out knees, stomps, and run away all the time. Just try to play really defensive, by retreating, and getting people to not notice you until it's a 1v1, then win. That's the strategy I use against my slightly lower level friends that like FFAs. I have a pretty good win rate.

I save my paragraphical things for what I deem either "in need of many words" or "amazing like G-Reg." But, if you really need to know more from my post...

The basic Falco is a solid character for FFAs. The advanced one, not so much. Falco has solid aerials and strong smash attacks, but his specific techniques like Shine-Aerial combos, pillaring, and Short-Hopped Lasers are very oriented toward a more one-on-one situation. If you want to learn Falco's technical play, you won't get far in an FFA. If you want to win in an FFA, you won't get much of a chance to practice Falco's technique. That's just how it is.

Practice just dash cancelling fsmashes and downtilts against floaties then just run around punishing everyone for attacking someone that's not you.

If you need to be more agressive about it then be very random and don't get predictable, and use your roll alot as that will take the attention off of you.

Well Uh FFAs can be hard to win If you only focus on one person...
I'd Recommend Going Shine & smash Happy in Groups of people

And on a larger stage Target someone for a second then go handle someone else.

And if you are targeted try to lure opponent attacks into each other.

Stay away from Charge B characters like Samus and DK or even Falcon. Many things can distract you and that would be the oppurtunuty one could take to Donkey Punch you in the *** off the stage...

No.. Don't do that.

I learned my mistake about laser spamming. SeattleSmash had an Ironman tournament, and I was one of the best there (Not bragging) it was pokemon stadium, 16 stocks, only winner advances to the finals. I laser spammed just into combat mainly, and everyone 3v1'd me the whole match. If you are going to be falco in FFA, DO NOT laser spam on an edge, they'll all go for you.
