LOL.. ghey fox..

umm, ur falco has gotten alot better. ur tech skill is decent (but there's always more room for improvement)

also, try and practice getting faster. i'm not a falco player, so i really don't know any methods, but you can pm eggm. i'm sure he could give you some advice.

i play falco as my main and i only watched your first video of vs fox. and i like the way you move. the fact that you never stop moving is good. i think its timing that you have to improve, your missing alot of attack that can leave you hanging. another point, i know you said before that ghey is your only friend that plays smash, no offence, but he sucks. and its hard to improve your skill when your winning every match with the skill you play with.

Don't use midair-shine to dair as much as approach. It gets you shieldgrabbed easily.

When you get in a shine you often don't chase his DI, you wavedash out of it; With good DI this means your combo is over.

Teach ghey how to play against Falco xD

When he is far away he could just shine your lasers back.

When you approach he can Fj over your shl and eventually come down with a nair.
On platformstages he should use the platforms more to dodge your lasers (FJ-->Waveland)

If he manages to put some pressure on you he can get more grabs and start more combos

No, it doesn't. If you lcancel and shine properly, no grab ever beat a shine after an aerial. Shine is faster, in terms of frame-speed.

Also incorrect; Falco can combo if they d.i. in any of the 3 ways they can d.i. Smash d.i. away, behind or no d.i. at all. Falco can do perfect WDs and follow-up until either they die or he screws up. With most Falcos that aren't pros though, the latter occurs.

Actually, for him to nair you is a good thing. You can CC the nair and shine, then proceed to combo the hell out of him. IF you just hold down and wait for him to hit you with a non-spaced nair or bair, your Cc shine will beat his shine.

Yeah i exaggerated, but it's still easier to shieldgrab than shffls. Also it gives Fox a lot of time to move away and punish Falco for using his 2nd jump. (at high %ages he could also FJ nair/bair out of shield)

Okay, i didn't know that. Still it's much better to chase his DI cause it opens alot more options to continue the combo.
Are you sure this works at any %age?

I didn't say he should just FJ-nair everytime, but when Falco can't/probably won't CC shine (for example when the Falco does a rshl you predicted)

Agreed.

This is Fox we're talking about. Of course it works at any percentage. Just shine and follow his d.i. with a WD then rinse and repeat.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. He often doesn't follow Fox' DI which makes it harder to continue the combo (well not harder, but you have more options to go on with your combo; utilt for example)

thanks vanz, yeah, i'm trying to get my falco to flow better an smoother. Eggm hasn't answered my pm :(

an thanks falchino for the advice (albeit a bit incorrect). And you're right about my friend, but he doesn't play too often, no johns lol.

an Raynex, thank you very much for the clarifications. milos told me you gave advice on his fox in other vids, an he was right, you're mad knowledgeable lol.

However, i think the cc shine against fox's nair only works in low percents (i think?), or against severely depreciated nairs (like the fox naired mad early and so there was like no knockback when he reached the falco).

anywho, stuff to see in upcoming vids (hopefully if i can get milos to record more stuff) includes:

aerial>shine>grab/laser>shine>grab (getting better at these). platform tech-chasing after throws/shines. Mid-air jc shines into wavelands on platforms. pillaring lol (i have no idea why, but I never really got the knack for it), and better ledge techs.

does anyone have advice for ledge techs btw? I can neever seem to get the timing right =/

np.

CCing nair will work till a bit over 30%. Its still worth a try at higher percents, because like you said the weak hit may be the one that hits you. It also potentially leads to a free grab which in turn leads to a free stock.

Never try to tech the instant you hit the surface you wish to tech off of. The frame window is actually like 10-15 frames or something before the actual hit. You should tech when you get hit by the move then hit a direction and you'll walljump or w/e.

Make sure you press L or R BEFORE you hit the wall and not during.

I liked the one against captain falcon, there were no real awkward spots except one. When you guys were a little ways apart and you kept D-tilting air... Not a bad match all in all though your freind seems to do better with C-Falcon, he know what a knee combo is anyways.

actually, you can't tech during hitsun unless you press l/r/z the frame before you hit the ledge. it's better to press it within 20 frames of hitting the ledge, even if you press it before you get hit.

lol cactus doesn't remeber graham he was probably talking about my falco.

but **** him I 2 stocked his falcon. (we played like 15 matches, and that was the only one I won. He only SD'd once though, but he tries to pass it off as if he sd'd 3 times.)
