it's a pivot up smash. I would assume you would dash and during the end of the dash you turnaround and do upsmash.

ehm no? even if this move is more for the style, it can be a good choice to confuse the oppenent because he would try to SDI in a different way (normal Dash upSmash) but the last frametimes give a different knockhit and a different SDI is needed. Something like that is very useful to Ike or with luigi, because luigi's Upsmash possesses a bigger hitbox behind his head

You have to jump cancel to do it. You:

Run
turn around
jump, but before you leave the ground Upsmash

It's much faster than just running and turning around then Upsmashing.
