Help me avoid the shines

How do you avoid getting shined off by foxes?

skip to 1:42 and 2:10.

He shines me with 2-4 consecutive shines all the way off the stage. and I couldn't do anything... I try to hold SHIELD and the C-stick to instant roll... didn't work... I try to hold away... or crouch cancel... it just doesn't work... his shines are too neat to CC in between.

What can I do to avoid this?

sorry to say but you cant really do a thing against the shine. just keep on the move and thats it. you did a very good job in that match so just keep up what your doing

you can theoretically smash di out of it but its not practical
but even one smash di input and asdi can put you far enough not to get waveshined out and then shine spiked, plus you could probably fast fall or double jump fast
the waveshine out to shinepsike isnt garanteed

yeah, just DI your heart out and hope they don't catch you with their waveshining if they're not 100% perfect at it, I know most of the time pplz get lazy and don't do perfect wavedashes

keep dashing so they can't do it to you
and if they get you in it
just hope they mess up

Like many said..keep moving. but heres a three item list that I use.

1.Pray

2.Yell out random things to cause your opponent to mess up, especially if you say vulgar or akward things.

3.Pause the game and look at your friend, as he looks back at you, unpause.

Worked for me. Most especially 3.

Make sure your spacing is good and try to use nairs. Other than that good luck.

There are two very practical ways to avoid shining.

1) Stop playing against Fox players, or if it suits you better stop playing Smash all together.

2) Whenever you see a shine coming, run off the stage facing away from the ledge, and Falcon Kick offstage to your doom.

See, and all those people say you can't avoid it.

Go for double stick DI. Almost impossible but it takes you much farther away from Fox. When you did the instant roll, he just followed you and shined you again; try doing it behind him to mess up his momentum.

Good luck with that. Espescially on someone like Zhu. Hes really good at tech-chasing and since its CF hes gonna get ***** by shines anyways. Just use your 1337 mindgamez and dont go into the ****.

LOL This is what my friend does when i'm waveshining him to oblivion: He smacks the control stick and presses any button like crazy! LOL but it works tough
