Help against R.O.B

So uh the last tournament I went to two R.O.Bs just kicked my *** T. T

Between the gyro, laser, and the Dsmash I couldn't really do anything... So any tips for fighting a good R.O.B or would it just be better to use another character against him?

Have you checked out the match up thread?

Oh and, I don't think it's necassary to change mains. Just watch your R.O.B opponent carefully at the beginning of the match. Usually ROB's use their attacks in a certain order. You just need to punish them for doing this.

I'd seen the match up thread before but I didn't remember there was a section on R.O.B already...

I didn't exactly mean changing mains, but rather just get a character to counter him, any idea who would be good for the job, Marth or Meta maybe?

Marth does pretty bad vs R.O.B. and Metaknight has a slight advantage. You may as well just stick with Snake, it will make you a better player overall.

ROB is pretty much a counterpick to snake so it's better to pick different character to combat ROB. If you're good with metaknight use metaknight. I personally use Lucario but then that's just me.
