I am a relatively new player from the Chicago area. I am wondering how I can get into smash and find some people in my area. I don't know how to find any tournaments or gatherings in my area.

Facebook group for chicago area melee players :D we have 176 members atm, so you should be able to find peeps to play with. Smashfests and tournament notices go through there a lot, too. If you make a post saying "i want to smash" someone will reply.
