Agreed. Shulk is also the most likely in my book, so it's a win-win.

Likewise. After Xenoblade Chronicles, I thought he would be a great inclusion considering on what he can do and how it can be applied to Smash.

The anticipation is really killing me! I really hope that we get some full roster leak soon or something! I just want to know if Shulk is playable!

And don't forget that Sakurai seems to detest leaks, which is why he removed CGI cutscenes.

Yet he responds to them, like the Palutena leak he posted a picture of Viridi in the Reset Bomb Forest. I also think how Chrom was handled in Robin's trailer was in response to the Gematsu leak...

Kind of the reason a part of me thinks every newcomer will get a reveal trailer. Why keep a character secret when it's going to get leaked out? Only problem with that is if that were the case we probably only got 2 newcomers left. I except Ridley and Shulk. The only other two newcomers I think we could get are a DK rep (Dixie being most likely) and a RH rep. But who cares about those jokas when you have Shulk.

I only expect Shulk and a Rhythm Heaven character. I can see Donkey Kong get another character with Bandana Dee being a dark horse pick. Still, I can safely hype myself for Shulk since I expect him to get in the game...
It's just a matter of when. I hope that we see him this month...

I want other characters like Bandana Dee and King K. Rool, but I would be fine if I just got Shulk in the end. He's enough to appease me for the loss of other newcomers. Besides, if he gets in, I can say that my top five video game characters are playable! (Luigi, Pit, Shulk, Kirby, and Ganondorf)

A lot of those feelings also have to do with the fact that Shulk has been anticipated for awhile now. He has been appearing on every leak, on everyone's roster prediction, the #MonadoMonday hype due to reasons we have already discussed...out of the big 3, Shulk arguably has the best chance of showing up as a playable fighter. 'The people' have been realizing this and are expecting him as well, so it's really just a matter on "When, Sakurai? WHEN?!"

I had been wanting Shulk in the game for quite a while and then #MonadoMonday ended up not happening and we got Robin (which is still really cool) but ever since then my hype for a Shulk reveal has been ridiculous. be still my beating heart

It's funny. Alongside Shulk, Robin was the character I wanted to see in the game most, so when we actually ended up getting Robin instead of Shulk on #MonadoMonday, I was happier...not because I like Robin more than Shulk, but for the fact that the chances of having my two most wanted newcomers in the game literally skyrocketed that day. Although he wasn't revealed, a day hasn't gone by where I started believing Shulk's chances were slowly diminishing.

I think the should show Shulk this month to generate hype for japan, they should wait for September to show King K Rool or Ridley because they are most popular in the west so they should be more closer to the west release date.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing if anything happens on the anniversary of Xenoblade as well as whatever information the magazine may hold. Interesting how Shulk went from uber obscure to expected over the span of the pre smash 4 speculation.

I thought it was going to be the starting roster in particular more so than the entire roster. Regardless, I'm not expecting it, but I see no wrong in being pleasantly surprised

It could be a time for new information, or maybe not. In either situation, that 3DS release date isn't moving, so I'll be waiting the same amount of time before I can actually get my hands on the game. But of course, more news always makes things more fun around here since there'll be more to talk about obviously

EDIT - To add onto this, if Ganondorf had enough tweaking to make them want to hold off on his reveal for awhile (somewhat like they did with Yoshi), a perfect time to show off at least some of his stuff would be in a trailer. Not saying it has to be in a trailer on the 14th, but maybe in another Smash Direct in the future. Or...he'll be one of those granddaddy surprises post-release

With Xenoblade's EU anniversary and HW's Japan release day, it would be a good think to reveal around that time. It is like the stars are aligning for a golden bombshell covered in diamonds. But hey. Ness and Lucas is a bonus I would be happy with.

I'm personally thinking pretty low. Not even as an alt. I'd love to see that luscious mane in Smash Bros. though, I'm just not expecting to see it based on being a spinoff crossover.

If that were the case, I'd also be expecting a HW inspired moveset for Ganondorf in Smash, which I don't believe we'll get. At best, we'll see the HW design as an alt in Smash if Sakurai saw some of the design layouts for HW Ganondorf.

Metal Face would be one hell of a stage hazard, that's for sure. The only reason I didn't include Link is because he was in a trailer already. The manner in which they introduced Captain Falcon was very effective. I could personally see Ganondorf dropping in and K.O.ing the snot out of Mechons or Metal Face, where Shulk begins to face off with him shortly after.
