sry scotty im poor as filipino lol well lets see the last big island tourny the zone hosted it at blaisdell center i think... well anyway it was only 2v2 tourny and i thinkthere was like 100 teams were there so if we were to hold a island wide tourny we need:

a venue that holds 100+ ppl
tvs ( 16 per 2 tv ratio?)
gamecubes
copies of the game
memory cards
extra remotes (for the people that dont bring)
volunteers to plan
volunteers for set up
volunteers to be in charge at the venue (keep everything in order on tourny day etc)
and a public speaker >_< (ill do that i guess )

so ya all of this = a lot of $$$ which we dont have lol unless every1 contributes the money for the venue OR get someone to sponsor this shiz

but all of these is just a thought still by me.... Frankie now back to my studyin for my final

I didnt get to pracitce beofore i got there but still great games. Hopefully i'll last longer then one round next time lol. Oh and Thanks again frank for hosting a great tourny, and justin call me ups someday so we can play.. We had some great matches after the tourny and maybe i'll pratice with my Doc Mario this time =)

Yeah, that was me. I was the guy that SD'd at the end of our first match. =(
Trying to be all fancy and all.
I really didn't want to fight a sheik, she's a b***h!
I hate sheik, not the player.
I didn't know whether to use fox of c.falcon.
Anyways, good job man.

I saw Jose pwn you in the semi's, and then he destroyed nick in the finals.
YOWZA he's good!

Looking forward to a rematch to redeem myself.

By the way, does anyone on this board have any tips for me to help improve my game?
Maybe you guys took notice of some bad habits or mistakes.

ummm less dash dance.... and when ur doing it shorten the time length of doing it.... after awhile ur opponent can tell what ur gonna do.... like 90% of the time after u dash dance.... you will go for a grab ^_^ thats the thing i noticed bout your style....

and errrr try to use the sex kick more the 2nd hit of the sex kick usually pops your opponent up for a free knee or up air.... ive challenged nicks and tom toms captain to kno that much >.>

I didn't notice that about my dash dancing.
I guess I have to change it up.

As for the sex kick, I'll just work on the fast fall timing, sometimes I FF too early, before the second kick. I'll also practice throwing in some jabs after the SHFFLed sex kick.

Captain Falcon huh.
I would take a cfalcon over a shiek anyday.
I'm not super good with falcon so maybe you should be asking Tom, he's better.
But anyways, just SHFFL all your aerials. Nair usually can lead into a knee combo against most characters, so use it. If you hit a shield, try to jab to prevent grabbing. And throw in a forward B once in a while to catch the guy for a nice pop up.
I don't know, that's all I can think of right now. Oh yeah, read the cfalcon guide, should be helpful.

I'm a fellow Hawaii Smash Bros. player, had Melee for a while but just recently got into it and learned the new tactics like wavedashing and L-Canceling. I don't think I'm up to the level you all play at but I would be interesting in tourneys when that time comes. I know Dex by the way...and he kicks my butt all the time, but it's good practice for me...hehe...so I'm cool playing w/other peeps on the island if you guys play for fun...and can come w/Dex if it's ok with him. :D

And yes, I am a girl, just in case anyone was wondering. And a proud Link player! :bigthumbu

we recently just had a small tourny which i hosted (and not participated ) and u missed out... OMG DEX HOW COME U DIDNT BRING HER!!! lol jp well u dont have to worry cause i suck big time im not that good lol

hope to smash with ya soon if anything jose (tenyearwarranty on the boards) will teach you some stuff too... pratically teached the "livewire crew" everything we know and soon enough you will know wat livewire is ( were all the smash action is at ^_^)
