In simply responding with a date, I feel my intelligence insulted, as if I could not possibly have grasped WHEN this tournament actually is being held.
By saying tentative and giving a range of three days, in conjunction with your use of a singular date I am led to believe that for this event you were looking at choosing one of out those three days: Friday 11/30, Saturday 12/1, or Sunday 12/2.
Contrary to what you've posted before, you give activities for two of the mentioned possible days that HJ5 might be held during. Since this was what I last read, I assumed by this post that you meant HJ5 to have only two days. However, thinking back to the tentative date of 11/30-12/2, I could only conclude that HJ5 would either be on 11/30 and 12/1, Friday and Saturday, or on 12/1 and 12/2, Saturday and Sunday.
Because I did assume someone as respectable as you, Eighteenspikes, would not be one to make a mistake in posting crucial information without correcting your mistake later, I had to take your arguments both as true, that HJ5 was to be set on a "date", and that HJ5 was to be a two-day event. Two days cannot fit into one day, so to make a date fit two days I simply expanded the meaning of date to include two of the three possible days.
And so far, according to my logic, given the information you have provided me, at this point in time HJ5 is looking like it will be a two-day event. I have never attended any prior HandsomeJett's, and so have no prior redoric as to how the tournament was run in the past (redoric here meaning the knowledge or ideas of something from which conclusions may be drawn,) and as such I am unable to make inferences based on past HJ performances as far as time is concerned. I might have tried to guess whether or not past HJ's were 1-day, 2-day, or 3-day events if not for the fact that I couldn't know if they were or not, and without being able to know for certain, I couldn't make a guess, because taking ungrounded guesses on a matter one knows nothing about is simply not something the average person does if they want to be right. I try to be correct whenever possible, and without knowing for certain the dates of past HandsomeJett's, I could only make inferences based on the information you have provided for us in this thread, Eighteenspikes.
Based on this rather biting quip in trying to educate me on what day December 2nd falls on, one could infer that you mean December 2nd to also be a day HJ5 is held on, in addition to the Friday and Saturday previously mentioned. However, I cannot assume this inference, because you do not clearly indicate that Friday and Saturday are confirmed as being the days during which HJ5 can be held.
Going deeper into your statement here... you use Friday and Saturday merely as examples of a possible solution to a problem. Given how I assume your inclination to not misinform people, it would follow that by suggesting the solution of having pools on Friday and Saturday night you would not hesitate to hold HJ5 on Friday and Saturday. In doing so you confirm that HJ5 has the distinct possibility of being a 2-day event (which is confirmed by the other smashers mentioning day 2 activites); however, you do not confirm that it IS Friday and Saturday that will be the two days of HandsomeJett5, because you give the dates merely as an example as opposed to as a fact of truth. Since Friday and Saturday are not both confirmed as the two-days of HandsomeJett5, I felt it necessary to attempt to tilt HJ5 in favor of those who would not be able to attend Friday by asking if the two day event could be held on Saturday and Sunday, 12/1 and 12/2 instead, and by doing so allowing us to enjoy the entire HJ5 as opposed to only a fraction of it.
In conclusion...
Unless I'm told otherwise, HJ5 is a 2-day event. With it being a 2-day event, I cannot be faulted for asking it to be held on the two days that would be more convenient for me (especially with no one else being the contrary and having Sunday be their most inconvenient day)
And for the obvious that will be coming...

P.S. Yes, I had much fun writing this little rebuttal [insert evil cackling laughter here]
