STOP DOING DOWN B
...:(

But yeah, I have TERRIBLE habits. The only people I played decently against were MacD and Connor in friendlies with their Peach. Otherwise people were wrecking my **** all over the place.

the fact of the matter is you should've paid out of pocket -- your punishment for being lazy about running the tournament (kira ran the whole thing)

and if you wanted your money back you shoulda talked to 1st and 2nd

but instead i have to eat the cost for driving 30 minutes out of way and getting nothing to show for it

i wasn't gonna sit around and make a big *** deal out of $7.70 with your fam there and stuff but it was gay nonetheless

but my punishment for being lazy was "no venue fee"

but yeah, in the end it was my fault, I should have taken responsibility over it

so yeah, since I always see you at tourney's, I'll pay you next time I see you

The fact of the matter is, tournament hosts SHOULD pay their entry fee. When they don't we run into problems EXACTLY like these. Not to mention that a venue fee would've been a ripoff. Reaiota did absolutely no work in running the tournament, and I asked to do it because I recognized immediately he had no idea how to run Tio or how a tournament usually worked at all (and this definitely turned out to be true). There are a lot of recent hosts who do this and it really pisses me off so I just do all the work myself so we can actually finish stuff and get it done.

I wasn't going to pay Adam because I earned the money I made and it wasn't my fault that Adam didn't get money, it was the host's fault. I didn't feel like sacrificing for his error just for the sake of being nice (at least, not this time).

Doubles payout was 70-30. Only top 2 were paid, this is often done when there are less than 10 or 15 teams entrants. And we had five.

it's not that I didn't know how to use it, it's just that I always see you as the one that's in charge in most tourney's, therefore I thought you'd be best for the position.

lol reaiota couldn't tell how to get from singles to doubles, or how to input entrants correctly. i remember he was really surprised to see that i could do both singles and doubles at the same time or something like that.

joe don't you remember boba doing the same thing in Upland? it frustrates me, maybe it didn't affect you as much since you didn't have to tell the tournament host to stop playing friendlies and play his match at his very own tournament.

i don't think i've been bitter lately =/

Wow! Not giving third place their money! That is such a Mango move! Also, remember Connors tourny during ROM? Tofu beat you for 2nd place then he asked me to split for 1st and 2nd! We decided to make it more of a three way split so you got more money than you won! Why can't you be cool like that?

no, joe is definitely right, since you've gotten better you've become a worse person

it's actually been almost in direct proportion to how much better you've gotten.

edit: yeah i agree with you atlus -- if i ever place top 2, i am always down to split with 1st or 2nd or 3rd, assuming the players aren't douchebags (which very few socalians are). but at the same time, i also realize i can't expect everyone to think like that, so you can't hold a grudge against anyone who wouldn't be down to split, as they're both perfectly valid in their own right.

first of all it's not my fault adam didn't get paid so why are you putting this on me in the first place

secondly i never asked for anyone to split with me and i wouldn't hold a grudge if someone didn't want to split and i never have.

thirdly i've done nothing but be nice to you adam in recent times but apparently it didn't make any difference. just because i'm proud of my achievements doesn't make me a worse person and yeah i talk **** and say i can beat people but i'm not trying to holding my wins over them like im a better person or anything. what happened to **** talk being fun and just creating hype, now all of a sudden it got really personal? i really don't even know what thing about me you're trying to attack, somehow im just overall a worse person than i was before. if this is about the teams thing then i don't even know what to say about that, we gave you your way in the end for that.

and atlus way to bring **** up that happened like a year ago. as if i've never done my fair share of splitting. i'm grateful you two were nice enough to split with me that one day but you act like i'm just hogging money all the time and not appreciating anything.

adam im sorry you wanted more money but it's not like i have all this cash to spare either. what are we in cohorts to steal all these noobs' money and hoard it amongst ourselves or something? you dont think i need cash to feed myself either?

wow dude, you want me to try and remember every time i split with someone since early this year just to show i'm just as cool of a person as you are? what are you trying to say with that statement

you didn't even understand what really happened so what you said doesn't hold meaning anymore

Did Adam not earn his third place money for placing? It would be really nice of Reaiota to be giving P his third place winnings! You said that you asked to run the tournament which is great! However, that doesn't give you the right to get a little extra money just because you think you earned it!

there's a misunderstanding and i'm trying to clear it up, is that really so bad. why don't you tell the other two to relax since they're starting **** over something that wasn't even my fault to begin with

if two ppl just told you that you're not an okay person anymore i really doubt you'd be calm as **** anyway

atlus i didn't get any extra money. i got exactly what i was supposed to get, the only thing that happened is that adam was cheated of his winnings. so i understand what you're trying to say but that's not the situation at all

if kira got paid what he earned, then he shouldn't be forced to basically pay the prize for the other placings basically out of his own pocket

if he got paid more than he should have due to T.O. error, then he should return the money

I don't know which actually went down (all I can tell from this discussion is that the T.O. totally bungled this **** up) so I'm not going to try to judge who's in the right or anything though

adam didn't get his money because someone didn't pay entry fee

if the host isn't going to pay their own entry fee, they sure as hell better cover their *** by knowing how to split the pot properly and making sure no one finds out

it's not connor or dave's fault adam got cheated

So one person didn't pay entry fee? I'm sure there has been MANY tournies where there has been at least one person that didn't pay there fee! You can easily take the pot and split it three ways! It's not hard at all!

the tournament host (and possibly one of his friends) didn't pay entry fee which was $7 at this tournament

naturally, since there were like 11 entrants for singles this makes a big difference

sure it's possible for us to split the rest of the pot but that doesn't fix the fact that the tournament host ****ed up. he didn't even keep track of how much he actually had so it would've been an even bigger ordeal trying to calculate the rest anyway. this is what happens when noobs try to host tournaments. I appreciate the effort but this kind of thing is exactly what we're trying to avoid. if you had any tournament experience at all you would understand that this is how things are done

there was a $2 venue fee AND the host didn't pay entry?

I don't understand why people think that makes sense

if you charge a venue fee, you should not take out money anywhere else; cover your own "free" entry out of the venue fee

no one knew that there was missing entry fee's

after kira got his money me and him left and only connor and adam were there, like kira said, he was in charge and so he told the host what the pay outs should be, we didn't know that he didn't pay, it just kinda happened after we left and we were about to drive back to deal with it

to be fair the host didn't charge venue fee

LOL Kira was probably bitter for getting ***** by Connor.

But seriously, you guys are making a bigger deal than what it really is. Dave could have been cool and gone out of his way to help third place get the payout in which we all agree that he deserved, but he didn't. Even though he knew that Adam got cheated out.

And even though it wasn't entirely Kira's fault, it kinda was a ***** move.

kouryuu im not bitter at all for losing to connor, he beat me more legit than anyone with pure skill and no gay random **** involved at all AND he was really nice about it and wasn't a **** at all (i guess that's what you guys are for), there's no room to be bitter. i dont see how it was a ***** move at all, adam's going to get his money from reaiota as posted above so it's going to work out in the end. you weren't even there how do you know how big of a deal it really was.

connor got 1st and got money, macd and i both got 1st in teams but i'm the only one at blame? even if we assume you guys are right, then connor and macd should also have to give up some of their winnings to cover for adam.

reaiota handled all the money, i didnt touch any of it until after the brackets were done. i showed him the results page and i took exactly what it said, nothing more nothing less.

i thought adam was missing his doubles money too but i guess not

Come on guy's, cut this out before everybody ends up hating each other.
It was my fault since I was the host, let's just leave it at that.

you're 'proving' their point though
they think you're a worse person
and now you're getting 'mad' and defensive which makes you look bad
