I came in these boards 3 years ago and I got FLAMED by everyone when proving that L-Canceling and some other tech(s) were indeed glitches. I am now laughing at the people who said that they weren't seeing that how the demo removed a majority of them. I told people time and time again that they were glitches and Nintendo did not purposely put them in because they would of mentioned them, and how some of the techs looked like players were forcing the game engine to do something, making it do something else, resulting in a glitch.

I myself, know how to L-Cancel, Wavedash, and do some of the other techs. But what pissed me off the most is how pros tend to come to these boards and flame scrubs/players who don't play the game like them, making them feel like idiots because they either couldn't use or perform the techs they did.

To any pro who came on SW and deliberately flamed other players because they couldn't perform these techs, prepare to get your ***** handed to you by them online. I will be watching them beating you down while I sit back drinking a glass of lemonade.

You're an idiot.

1. Because first of all, no one cares what you said 3 years ago.

2. Not everything questionable was removed.

3. New exploits have been found.

Z cancelling was a glitch. It was found out about, and put into melee

z cancelling = zero lag

L cancelling = half lag.

If you really thing that a concise program script like L cancelling is a glitch, you should wear a helmet when you walk down the street.

You're still going to suck at brawl compared to people who know how to play smash no offence noob.

L-canceling is not a glitch. It reduces landing time by 50%. The character still goes through the same animation, just faster.

Also, don't try to start a flame war with bad math.

Eh, don't mind this guy. He was made fun of for being in love with fictional characters and hasn't posted until now.

You fail. To get good at this game, you still need to acquire tech skill. In melee, this usually meant learning l-cancelling, wavedashing, crouch cancelling, dash dancing, spacing, jump cancelling, short hopping, etc... With all the controversy over wavedashing, its really only a small piece of the puzzle.

In brawl, possibly the first two are gone. More have been found.

edit: lol at chill

The removal of exploits won't make you any better or the pros any worse. If you ever play a pro you'll see what it's like to lose a whole stock to dash attacks and shield grabs.

heh...
It's funny how teh n00bs are coming in laughing about WDing being gone trying to think they're all superior.
if Gimpy really did find another advanced technique, and it's the 2nd day of playing as of right now, who knows what we'll be able to pwn teh n00bs with next?

Omg any tournament player could completely demolish you. I don't even know you and i know that. All you're achieving by this thread is ackowledging to us your inability to grasp why you lose in melee. I think you should NEVER be allowed to become pro. If you do, i'll still never respect you, look up to you or ever, in anway, acknowledge your win. Go play with your scrubish friends.

I am not a noob. I have won tournaments in the U.S., plus, I have beaten people in matches who attended MLG. This is a different nickname that I am using, I have been using this board ever since it opened.

I don't care if you guys found new techs in Brawl, you guys will still get owned. I can own players even without using techs. The techs that were removed should of never been in Melee in the first place. But since a lot of these annoying techs got removed, it's still going to be tough for pros because they have to master the new techs.

I dare anyone to say they will start pwning when Brawl comes out. Brawl will have a different fighting engine, nobody is going to know every single tech in the first day. Therefore, you're still going to get your rear end handed to you.

the people who know melee's core will be good at brawl

Umm

What IS wavedashing?

I mean, I know what it is, but I've never been able to do it, and I don't see the point of it.

No failure, be silent.

Your thread title shows how profoundly stupid you are. "Glitches removed from Brawl" and you haven't even played Brawl. They changed directional air dodging which means no more wave dashing and that means something from Melee doesn't carry over. That does NOT mean that Brawl is "glitch" free seeing as how thats almost in possible in its own right.

Don't act like you know what you're talking about and don't pretend like you've gone to a real tournament.

Even if they are removed, these pro's and people who put effort into melee won't automatically suck forever. What sets this group apart is their will to be the best, and learn new things. They practice and practice until they are on the top of their game.

Brawl will be a new game and will take some relearning, but I wouldn't count out these "pros of melee" just yet. Many people will strive to be great at this game. Just because l-canceling and wavedashing appear to be out, the strongest willed at perfecting their game will prevail.

This entire forum is one big broken record..

Nothing but people flaming each other over stupid techs.

I suggest the mods actually do something, and lock these threads.

I've already reported a previous topic which would spawn a flame war. And I'll do it again if nobody does.

L-Cancelling is not a glitch.

Wavedashing is technically a glitch, but it is not gamebreaking, and only a scrub will use this technicality in definition to proclaim it's dishonorability.

If you really thing that a concise program script like L cancelling is a glitch, then you should because my post proved nothing and I'm just talking like a complete idiot.

You're still going to suck at brawl compared to people who know how to play smash because apparently, despite the fact that I don't know anything about you, you must suck at the game since you think something is a glitch when it may or may not be because I failed (hard may I add) to prove that it was a glitch. And suppoably being able to do a glitch exploit in Melee that is clearly not in Brawl, one you were able to do too, makes me better then you at the game that isn't even out yet and neither of us played. Oh, and your a n00b.
fix'd. I win.

Wavedashing was found during testing and they left it in. Generally, when you find a glitch, you take it out.

So the physics engine created a strange occurence and they liked it. I wouldn't call that a glitch.

why do people keep saying "it's a demo, everything will change". that's clearly wrong.

just because it's a demo doesn't mean anything. they hardly change anything in demos to the finished version, usually only minor things like characters attack speed or strength, or a bug of some sort.

besides, it's not like Sora sits there and says "okay, we made a demo, let's make a completely different game now guys"

Lol wow joshcube, just wow. I expected more from you, but ykno wut. If you truly couldn't accept these techniques as part of the game, and cry about them like that. I just lost a lot of respect for you. The pros of melee and 64 are pros because of they're ability to adapt and think at high levels. Tech skill doesn't always win high level matches. Noobs and scrubs are still gonna get 4 stocked repeatedly, regardless of the advanced techniques available. gtfo scrub.

many games have changed from their demos drastically. the halo 3 beta, sc 3, etc.

nothing is set in stone till the game is fully released. and still, xbox has patches lol

I didn't play Brawl, but I watched the videos.

L-Canceling and Wavedashing being removed PROVES that they were glitches and Nintendo did not intend for them to be in. The techs that are in Brawl at the moment are not glitches, they are advanced moves that you can do with your character. Any technique that messes with the game's engine needs to be removed, this includes L-Canceling and Wavedashing.

When Brawl comes online, people will be able to beat others without using cheap glitches. MLG banned glitches, and now Nintendo is removing them. Like I said, I am going to laugh my *** off watching pros get beat down online because of this.

And it does not matter if you're facing off melee scrubs. They will eventually get better and train harder until they beat you, even without using those glitches. Prepare to be dethroned.

If glitches are removed, why the heck isn't God removing the 'Beating a Dead Horse' glitch, from the game called 'Real Life?'
