Does it still work for the english version though?...we're talking about different glitches. The glitch the topic is about is the glitch you just mentioned, which duplicates the pokemon and the item it's holding. The glitch that was just brought up is the ditto glitch from the japanese version, which allows you to duplicate the ITEM, and nothing but the ITEM, but was supposed to have been removed from the english version.
My loading screen rotates 7 times. So I'm supposed to turn off the ds after 5 turns?7.Now cut off the game 1-2 Rotations earlier than it last stopped off.
No, the rotations after each revolution of the clock. My loading screen rotates 7 times. So I'm supposed to turn off the ds after 5 turns?
I can't seem to get this to work. I'm just missing something.![]()
What you could do is first deposit, count the number of rotations+extra ticks after. Then, take the poke back out then deposit again. Then yes, you're looking to turn it off two ticks before... but it's still not guarenteed using this method. You might get it a few times but timing is still off by doing it like this.So if I'm understanding this correctly, the goal is to turn off the DS one or two ticks of the clock before the screen would have changed to the pokeball screen?

edit: ew, i know, gross. but im linking to the gamefaqs page.

The best way to do the GTS Duplication is with a wireless router. This was also noted on GFAQs...
- Deposit in GTS
- When it asks for confirmation of the offer, watch your router as you hit A ("Yes").
- Two lights on the router should start blinking.
- With my connection, i started counting when I hit the A button and after 16-17 seconds, the light will start to blink again.
-When the lights blink the second time, that's when you shut off your DS.
This is the most consistent way I know of to do it. It helps to have a clock nearby to help you count down. You'll want to shut off the DS pretty much right after the light blink a second time.
I'm thinking when the lights blink the first time, you're sending the trade info out of your DS, and the second time is when your Poke is put up for trade.... or something like that. But yeah, only works for people with wireless routers...
If you have a wireless router, then raichur0xx0rz's strategy works better, if not, then my Revolution/Rotation startegy works better. The best way to do the GTS Duplication is with a wireless router. This was also noted on GFAQs...

always ask for a level 10 or under legendary. they are impossible get in a legit wayI tried this cloning glitch on my game yesterday, offered my Dialga for a lvl 100 Palkia, thinking I could get back on GTS in time to grab it (and hopefully clone it). When I got back on, someone had traded me their Palkia, but I still had my Dialga. Lol.
