They ruin the enjoyment of playing and should be seperate for a rank mode and never count against you in any smash mode other than rank. But because its basically adjacent to the stats of KD ratio in call of duty my OCD will be too focused on the GSP number and not relieving myself with fun smash matches. This sucks and nintendo is being stupid on purpose.

I don't see why you should be complaining about GSP when you want fun matches.

Quality argument.

But the fact that you can see your score is the only thing different here. Even in other multiplayer games, they typically keep track of your play for matchmaking purposes even in casual modes, to make sure games are reasonably fair. They could make a ranked mode separate so that you're able to somewhat dictate when you're playing for real, but it's also quite comforting to know that you're being matched with players of reasonably similar skill regardless of what mode you're playing.

If thats the case then they should pair people who often go negative (1 ko 4 deaths etc) with others like that and, those who go positive mostly with others. But leave the GSP in ranked or have it not be affected, simple. Simple **** nintendo.

Street fighter 4 had GSP as overall rank and another seperate GSP for character rank. But in smash this GSP affects matchmaking and is your overall which is wrong. Have two seperate GSP one for rank and another for character rank all while handling quick random matches based on the K.O.s to deaths people have. Doesnt that sound like a good idea?

But there is GSP so no.
I'm surprised how you're still not over GSP when it has existed since 2014 and has even been implemented in single player modes. At this point it doesn't matter since there are no leaderboards and no one will shame you for your GSP should you choose to play casually.
