This brings back memories of before Brawl came out, debating with forumites on which characters should make it into Super Smash Bros. "Revolution". Ah, nostalgia.

Anyway, down to business. This is what I hope the roster for SSB4 will be:

-I added a lot of characters who should've been in already (Samurai Goroh, King K. Rool, Ridley, etc...)
-Ridley can be down-sized (if this argument still exists).
-Ridley > Dark Samus because he is less likely to be a clone and is a more important villain.
-Kamek just so there is another Yoshi rep.
-Young Link > Toon Link because 'Toon' is a clumsy name. Appearance doesn't matter.
-Red instead of Pokemon Trainer because 'Pokemon Trainer' is a clumsy name.
-Blue's most iconic Pokemon is Eevee. The three most iconic Eeveelutions are the ones I listed.
-Added a lot of antagonists rather than protagonists because they seem to have more variety on average (Ness/Lucas, Marth/Roy, Fox/Falco, etc...)
-Zoroark > Lucario because the same thing happened to Mewtwo.
-Tom Nook > 'Villager', 'Animal Crosser', etc... because they are clumsy names.
-Isaac because of Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
-Ray as a 'WTF' Character.
-Bill Rizer > Solid Snake because Contra is more important to Nintendo than Metal Gear Solid, and he fits into the 'SSB' World better.
-Banjo because of Nintendo's great history with Rare.

Which leads to dumb things like Nook.

Whats dumb about Nook? Lol

He represents the series just as well as the character you play as in Animal Crossing and would have the same moveset...

I will admit, that of the ones I struck out, those two would be the most likely to come back.

Dixie Kong, Snake and probably a redesigned Zelda would also be likely additions to the cast.

Who gives a **** what PT's name is, you can still play as Charizard and Squirtle, can't ya. Banjo along with a lot of other Rare characters are owned by Microsoft now so they have about as much chance or even less chance of getting in than Master Chief. Gary Mother****ing Oak Blue needs Blastoise


Oh, and Lucario didn't really replace Mewtwo as they were both planned to be in the game. I no like cutting, anyway

I dunno, I haven't played Pokemon properly since Red/Blue cause they are all just the same game. So I don't know much about Zoroark, he has something to do with illusions, right?

But I'd like someone new to play with, Lucario wasn't that imaginative in Brawl.

@Aerodrome: Why cross out Ridley? Yes he's big, but think about how big Bowser is in his mainstream appearances. And yet in the spin-offs, Bowser is resized to be smaller. If Bowser can be made smaller, so can Ridley.

He was just striking them out because they're such obvious additions that it's not even worth mentioning them anymore.


Anyway, Nook is stupid because he's a side character who, for some reason, people want to give the main character's moves to. If you want to use a shovel, fishing pole, slingshot, etc., then you should want to play as the Villager. The Villager was also the one Sakurai thought of as playable, before deciding any Animal Crossing character should not fight in Smash.

So basically it's dumb to even mention either of them.

Haven't seen it myself, but it was supposedly something he mentioned in a Famitsu interview. However, in one of those Iwata Asks interviews where he said he didn't think Animal Crossing characters should fight, the Villager was the character who appeared on the SUPPLEMENTARY IMAGE:

So he's bigger than he appears in Brawl, but Bowser isn't the size of a building.

ftr, sizing down makes less sense than sizing up, which is why Olimar isn't a problem.

Though I hope Olimar is gone next game. Either that or make him suck.

Umm, Bowser appears as all kinds of different sizes because it's ****ing Mario, and it's a cartoony *** world. Ridley has never appeared in a Metroid game in a scale that would make sense for Smash.

In fact, Ridley ALREADY APPEARED in Brawl as a SSE boss in the only scale that makes sense. Ridley's proportions have, therefore, already been established in the Smash universe as being too big to be playable.
