Yeah, there's a lot to learn from these. The godssbb samus focus' on heavy missle barrage while Tudor fires the grapple beam way more often. Hard to say which is better.

Tudor is really good, but I hate Godssbb video you posted. I didn't watch any others of his (if he has them) but I refuse to camp on my samus.

Tudor on the other hand, uses his projectiles to get in close and land a fair or uair, a good samus.

I think you define camping a little too broadly, Samus is a projectile character this is part of her game. I hate to reference "Playing to Win" but you must overcome ideas like this before you can become good. Besides, that Samus wasn't exactly playing extreme keepaway anyways.

If you want to know what camping really is, you should reserve your judgement until you see things like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=EfBZeVeROE0

That is my definition of camping, it might not be the one you're thinking of, but as far as I'm concerned that samus was 'camping' way to much for my taste.

It might not be as extreme as the lucas video, but it's still too projectile based for me.

I wouldn't go so far as to call samus a 'Projectile' character, she only has 1 more move dedicated to projectiles than quite a few of the cast, which is side B. Dedede, link, olimar, shiek, zelda, mario, luigi, lucas, ness, and many others all have projectiles but they're not 'projectile' characters. I believe her melee game is pretty **** good, and she doesn't need to hide behind projectiles to win.

But this all comes down to opinions, so no disrespect to you or to the player of samus, but if I have to play that way to win, I won't be playing (but I don't think you ment that way any way.)

Besides, everyone is complimenting Tudor (with good reason) on his samus and his samus isn't as campy as that other one.

It's all good I guess, although I get the feeling you'll be hating a lot of players soon.

(Samus has 2 projectiles moves actually, missle and charged ball, 3 if you count the long range grapple)

I hope not, I can get very frustrated if my style of playing doesn't work

I ment a lot of characters have 1 projectile, and she has only 2, which is 1 more than most.

And the grapple is an added bonus that she gets, so I'm not prepared to count that.

There are different uses for both types of missiles and both charged and uncharged power beams - perhaps technically they may be considered only two projectiles but they are certainly far more versatile than most. In function she has four projectiles + grapple (+ bombs?). I wouldn't say "only" two.

I dunno guys, Pit and ROB are both top tier.. For some reason I never see TL anywhere near winning big tournaments, so it seems like he's not much of a threat. MK is understandable though.

I wasn't trying to diminish her projectiles, I was trying to say that she only has 1 more button dedicated to projectiles than most characters, meaning that her melee game is no less than most characters and I'm not prepared to call her a projectile character simply because she has more of them than others, maybe if more of her moves were dedicated to projectiles then I would refer to her as a projectile character, but as far as I'm concerned, all the uses for her projectiles, smash missiles, and the zair are just bonus' that can be used to approach or gimp recoveries and that her melee game shouldn't be counted out.

I've read your post just above this one, and I know what you're saying.

But... as for your list of purported non-projectile characters

Link - There's a strong case against this. Bombs and arrows are there. And I'm pretty sure the best Link play is going to involve Gale Boomerang. It can be really disruptive!

Zelda - heh, she's a tough one for the question. Din's spam is half her game against susceptible characters. You're a fool not to throw it out there, is pretty much what I've been experiencing. Her other moves are insta-defense or one-hit-power. How is that not a projectile character?

Lucas - he plays from afar, but the criterion I suppose is how much he uses PSI powers. This one is as contestable as the usefulness of those moves.

You have to clarify what you mean by 'projectile' character. What is a good definition for the term so the distinction is meaningful?

I don't really want to get bogged down in this side topic, but I have to point out what I think I know.
