Seriously. There's been a RBY remake, so why not remake Gold and Silver?
It was my favorite generation. It could be for DS of GBA.

Your guys thoughts on this?

Red and Blue were re-made so we could have their pokemon in RSE. We dont need another re-make.

yea true but im with him a remake would be banging. i really love the way they let you go to kanto and collect the other badges that should be done in d/p though i doubt they will

yeah, I loved Gold and Silver, they do need to create a remake. I loved fighting the gym leaders there, plus they could expand the story like the sevii islands on FR/LG.

Or maybe they could make a pokemon game on the Wii where you can go to all of the regions and fight all of the gym leaders, elite four members. capture every single pokemon on just one disc, now that would also kick some ***.

yea really i was thinking the same thing about the idea thats why i didnt knock him. i was thinking about the way they could make a remake of gold/silver with the new pokemon and also the other region since they let you go to kanto in the first they could upgrade the graphics and let you go to hoenn and shinou as well

G/S was my fave game, but i think the chances of a remake would be extremely low. all i want is a passage to johto in a game, that was the best region ever.

yeah instead of going back to kanto like in the old gold/silver/crystal you could finish diamond or pearl and then go back to johto. it'd be worth a delay to have that put in.

I say make a game encompassing all the generations, kinda like what GSC did (except they only had 2 generatios to work with at the time). .

Gold and Silver were Pokemon games at their finest: 250 Pokemon, an in-game clock, and the opportunity for veterans to revisit Kanto. So yeah, I'd love a remake of Gold/Silver/Crystal, but I doubt it would fare well without a lot of fresh content.

Gold and Silver were the best Pokemon games ever made. After G/S, I believe that too many pokemon were introduced into the game and the story line began to decline. The idea behind playing through both Johto and Kanto was great. In my opinion, Gold and Silver was the pinnacle of the Pokemon franchise. A Gold and Silver remake for the DS, or GBA even, would do very well for the franchise.

It would be great if they did a remake for G/S. Unfortunately, it isn't likely. Also (and much more) unfortunately, my Gold version's internal battery or something died, so it can't seem to keep a game when I try to save. I'm freakin' jhoto starved!Waaaah!

As much as I would like it also, they won't do it. FR/LG were made because there was no compatibility between GS and RS. But I wish they would make one with the same scope and size. Supposedly DP's region is going to be huge, so maybe we'll get it there. If you want to check it out, just go to serebii.net.

G/S/C were my favorite Pokemon games as well, for the length. Although, G/S/C brought along a wave of crap. =/ *Looks at Ledian, Ariados, Sunflora, Noctowl, Aipom, Unknown, etc etc etc*

And just look at what it did to the metagame. The 2 most notorious prostitutes of all time made their debut in G/S/C, Skarmory and Blissey. The stallish metagame in general was interesting though, and a lot of Pokemon revolved around that, specifically, Umbreon, Suicune, Celery, etc. And G/S/C had my 2 favorite Pokemon ever. Slowking and Miltank =)

I would LOVE to see a remake of these games, it's the only version I've ever been able to actually play and keep playing without getting bored at some point. My Gold clocked out at 762 hours.

Granted, D/P is slightly larger than Kanto or Hoenn but not as big as most would hope for. It's still a good sized game length-wise and has an intriguing story though.

The one thing that stood out about D/P to me was that Gyms actually became a challenge again. None of that barely lving your pokemon to defeat gyms till AFTER the fifth one like in Hoenn. Each gym leader actually has pokemon that are at least a decent amount of levels higher than the one before, therefore MAKING you lv up your team as you go. Johto was like that too, and that's another reason I hope it returns. Plus Johto has a really fun mix of pokemon that you can't really get bored of.
