Going to see Terminator tonight!! Predictions?

So Im going to see Terminator in a couple of hours. People say Im a critic, and I am pretty critical about movies for the most part. I tend to be very accurate about my movie predictions, with some exceptions of course, but I honestly dont know what to think about this movie.

This movie has alot of hype but strangely I have no idea how its going to turn out. I mean I even liked terminator 3 (This may mostly be due to the fact that Im a big Arnie fanboy, and part of me feels like Ill be betraying him by seeing this movie, but I mean come on, what am I gonna do, not see it?). I mean it was no Terminator 2 (oh my god that movies good) but It was ok.... (agree storyline was kinda whack)

Well Im getting off topic here, but basically I wanna hear your predictions about how the new one will turn out. If it turns out better than 3 than its good in my books. So judging by what I know so far Ill predict....

7/10 (above average. 5 is worth watching)

I'd put 3 in the 6-7 range, so I feel 7 is a good estimate. I should probably put it lower since
I've learned that its always good to go into movies with low expectations, since best case scenario you are pleasantly surprised, and worst case scenario you get what you expected, but whatevs...

i was invited to see it tonight with my brother and i might, but i will probably study for my finals tomorrow instead. it doesn't look that bad, i want to see it because i'm a fan of the terminator series. terminator 1 ****ing owns omg so underrated
salvation has a lot of hype but we'll see how it turns out

Terminator 1 might have been a better movie if it was made a couple of years later. Awesome concept, but they didnt really have the technology to do the story justice (Im still amazed they made the effects in 2 that they did)

i think its going to have fun action and visuals, and thats all i really ask for from it

my biggest problems with it going in are that I don't trust McG and that Christian Bale, despite being good at what he does, was such an easy choice for that part.

It's probably going to be pretty **** good. Like 7-8 range. Christian Bale is a respectable mainstream actor, so I don't think he'd **** with ****ty projects willingly.

it exceeded my expections
bc i love terminator 1 and 2 (i have to agree i think i might love 1 more the whole man vs machine concept...but not by alot i love them almost equally)
to me the trilogy ended with 2 lol the 3rd one was weak
the guy who played john connor in the 3rd one did a good job imo way better than christian bale
christian bale sucks homie got outshined in this film just like he did in batman by heath ledger
sam worthington made the movie you left the theater feeling a connection with marcus

Christian Bale is a good actor, but seriously, HE HAS TO STOP THAT STUPID ****EN RASPY VOICE

Overall I say it was a 7-8, probably closer to 7 though. Although there are several stupid plot points. So Im down for some movie discussion but lets try and keep the spoiler tags on (wtf using spoiler tags for actual spoilers? What is this?)

Problems I had with the movie:

#1. How do the machines know to kill Kyle Reese and John Connor? Ok, maybe John Connor has become a major figure for the resistance by this time, but how do they know to kill Kyle Reese? The only two people that know hes John's father are John and John's mother. The only possible explanation I have is that the machines capture somebody who learns about John's father in the events after Salvation, and then send a machine back in time to transmit this data to themselves, but come on, this is a little iffy.

#2. The heart transplant thing was kinda stupid, even if we assume they had the technology for a heart transplant available to them. They could have mentioned that Terminator tissue is made by synthetic materials that the body wont reject (or something). Not necessarily a bad ending, just needed some more explanation.

#3. Girl that doesn't talk. I hate these little kids in movies. Not only does she not talk, she doesn't show emotions. I would have preferred if Reese explains that shes a mute, and she actually, you know, cries or something.

Im sure there are some more major problems in the story, but I can't remember any right now. Yeah there are alot of little things that bug me too, but these are the most prevalent

a) i believe it was a set up, they were there to save the prisoners and then when john connor goes back and see's the helicopter pilot dead he realizes it was a set up and the prison holding the people explodes
b) i think she throws a roll of wire across the mine field, since the mines are magnetic. she then pulls the wire to attract the mines toward the wire to blow it up giving them a straight pathway to run thru. i think they couldve filmed that party better or maybe it was but they cut taht scene. oh wells thats what dvd versions are for
