Hello, all! For those that don't know me, I'm Virg. I moderate things. I'm also in charge of the newly founded Discussion Leader group and I had an idea sprout in my head not too long ago.

Every individual character board is quite different and many are truly contrasting. Seeing as how I'm tasked with encouraging discussion and help throughout the boards, I thought that maybe encouraging some similar layouts on each board would help new people (or board hermits) that eventually strolled into other boards. Not that they would get lost, but just that it would be easier and the process alone would be gratifying.

So with that, I'm here for a proposition (not of that kind!): a reformatting and update of the character guide, if it needs one. I see a lot of good threads, though the index thread is a little jumbled. But I digress.

So for those of you that don't want to read: I would like to try to get every character board to clean up and organize their character board guides/stickies. Some are fine as is. Others...not so much. I'm asking this for a shot of dialogue and cross communication throughout the boards as well as making the stickies less cluttersome.

So, what do you guys say? This is all voluntary. Just wanted to try to spruce the boards up a bit. If you have any opinions or questions, I'd be happy to hear them :)

Posting to subscribe.....as of right now I can't really think of anything, but I'll peruse the threads on the Lucas board to see what needs to be done, if anything.

Can... you make people post? lol

We have a nice guide. Our matchup discussion is dead, but that's our fault. We have frame data. Uhh... I can't really think of something we need. We have things; people don't post here.

Edit: From lurking other boards, I see I can get matchup help on Wi-fi. I'm cool with that. I'll pretty much be the only Lucas helping, though. Not many do Wi-Fi

Well we brought in people from other boards to help discuss matchups. We agreed on stuff except with the Olimar boards for some reason.

Also, Zman's List of important guides... Needs a massive update. I'm not sure if we need, both, a video critique thread and a video thread. Seems a bit redundant. At least, Unsticky one, just not sure which one.

Any thoughts on this?

Oh! we could Sticky the tournament results thread. That seems to get alot of attention.

I'm cool with whatever people decide on as long as it's reasonable. virg, could you let me do the honors when it's time though so I don't get confused or lost?

Doesn't seem like there are very many recent lucas videos around.
But i just watch those when i'm bored and have nothing to do, so it's not a big deal.

Yeah, matchup help on WiFi would be great. Especially against gaylimar...he's tough to beat with Lucas. Tyr's guide is amazing, we should definitely update it.

Olimar goes even with Lucas.

Any changes to my guide will be decided on and executed by myself. It is updated relatively often and is of a higher quality than most guides on smashboards. If people want changes to be made on it, they can post on that thread or contact me through pm for such changes to be considered. What goes into my guide is not decided on by a majority. The majority is ignorant and temporary. That doesn't mean anyone can't make suggestions. It just means I have the final say. It also means that if you know what you're talking about, I'm much more likely to consider your suggestion.

The matchup guide is out of date but so are all the others for other characters. Matchup ratios will never be correct.

When I get around to it, I will add a section to my guide of recommended threads which will include only helpful threads that have been created on these boards over time that do not need to be stickied or haven't been for other reasons.
