The whole point of infractions and an accumulative point system is to warn people and to sway them to make better choices in the future. I don't care if you're a super mod or an ultra mod, you're here to regulate peace and order, not to execute every person who steps out of line. Yeah, MW forums are filled with us morons who do stupid **** all the time, but one infraction at a time would let us know we're being monitored.

These kind of actions are just going to create more 5150's (god bless him) where the only way to balance out the oppressive mods is to create more screen names. For you elitist mods: Be fair or else you're going to end up making more work for yourselves than you ever wanted. You're not doing any harm laying the hammer down on screen names on a video game forum, so don't act like you're getting points with Jesus or anything.

The Midwest is a particularly tight group thanks to joke threads. If rules mattered at all, they'd be enforced consistently. The fact that we're able to have fun every now and then has set a president. Fdv must understand that his actions are more surprising than anything. It's not fair to give the maximum penalty given that the rules have been so lax in the past.

Having been given a warning by Fdv in the past for starting a thread about how spikey eighteenspikes is, you might say that I'm biased.

However, If little kids can post how they want their favorite Pokemon put in Brawl, why can't we enjoy ourselves within our own board?

The community tends to take care of itself. Bad joke threads or spam are pretty much ignored by everyone. However, JOKE THREADS WHICH ARE "APPROVED" BY THE COMMUNITY (AS EVIDENT BY THE COMMUNITY POSTING IN THEM) HELP STRENGTHEN THE TOURNAMENT BASE.
