Ultimate Top 8

It all kicked off with a very fascinating ditto match in Losers. Two Corrin mains, SHADIC and Neo went face to face, with Neo emerging the victor 3-2. Next we had two players who were no strangers to fighting each other often, Tea up against Tweek. Tweek won 3-2 in a mostly close set, besides the final game. And speaking of players who fight often, Sonix clashed with Zomba in Winners. Each game came down to the last stock but Zomba impressively won 3-0. The match that came after was another frequently recurring one, Sparg0 versus Light. Light managed to take the first game, however Sparg0 took the set 3-1.

Back to Losers, Sonix played against Neo, and convincingly beat him 3-0. Following that, Tweek defeated Light 3-0 with three pretty close games. Now in Winners Finals, Sparg0 fought Zomba and was defeated 1-3. After this, Tweek lost to Sonix in a 3-1 set. Then, Sonix and Sparg0 played for Losers Finals, with Sonix taking it 3-2. It all culminated in a tense Grand Finals match between Sonix and Zomba again. Sonix pulled off a reset and won the first set 3-2. However, Zomba turned up the heat and took the last set 3-1 and indeed, the tournament itself!

Ultimate Standings:

1st: Zomba
2nd: Sonix
3rd: Sparg0
4th: Tweek
5th: Neo
5th: Light
7th: SHADIC
7th: Tea

Melee Top 8

Losers Top 8 started with a former Genesis Grand Finals set, Zain against Hungrybox. Zain took the prize here with a very powerful 3-0. Right after this we get another 3-0, with moky soundly beating Wizzrobe. In Winners, Cody Schwab wins 3-0 in some very fast yet close games with Leffen. The 3-0s don’t end there, as right after we get aMSa delivering one while fighting Jmook. Though, the 3-0s did eventually stop, as the next set was a very close 3-2 with Zain triumphing over Leffen. Moky and Jmook were up next, Jmook won 2 games but moky ultimately got his first offline win against the Sheik.

Cody Schwab and aMSa then squared off in Winners Finals, with Cody emerging victorious 3-1. Back to Losers, Zain played moky and beat him with a strong 3-0.
