What, that's it? Just start talking? Talking about what? Like the reference, though lol... Anyway I guess I'll start by asking a question....

At what point on the timeline does Ganondorf turn into Ganon? If never had that clarified...

I think that Ganondorf can turn into Ganon so long as he holds the Triforce of Power. But if you want a direct answer, then Ocarina of Time.

I think it's like Failchion said; when Ganondorf gets his hands on the Triforce of Power, he becomes mad with power, turning into some sort of beast.

Or, you know, something like that.

This probably needs to go with character discussion, no harm done though.

Here's a topic spin.

Why a pig though? Are pigs sacred to the gerudo tribe?

Technically it is a boar, and boar's a fearsome creatures. Much like Ganon is supposed to be, also he looks like one. :3

Well, pigs are relative to the boar, who are known for power, which is what Ganondorf's Triforce piece represents....

I actually updated the thread stating that characters such as Link Ganondorf etc need their own thread because they're some pretty important characters that need dedication instead of being with other character discussions

Yeah, i sorta had that in mind.
Can his transformation because of the triforce of power be related to Link when he transform into wolf because of the twilight realm?

I highly doubt it. Ganondorf's always been able to turn into a boar simply using the Triforce of Power since the first game, while Link being able to turn into a wolf is kinda new and doesn't require the use of the Triforce of Courage.

Which Ganon was most evil?

OoT Ganon, TP Ganon, WW Ganon.

Just has always been a question that floats around in my head. :)

TP Ganon basically cliche evildoings, showing off his power, ripping off Zant, etc.

WW Ganon was IMO more psychologically cunning with his evildoing.

OoT Ganon maybe a hybrid of TP and WW Ganon's!?:ohwell:

HE basically just kidnapped 3 or 4 girls with a giant bird and did his usual wait until Link finds the things I need to take advantage when he's not looking in WW...

doesn't seem that evil or cunning...

OK, maybe the writers wanted Ganon to be a pimp???

That's a funny take on it, but then again, it became personal when Aryll was kidnapped!

Overconfidence is always prevalent with Ganon, that's who he is!

WW Ganon was the best as far as character development goes. He was given something the others only were implied to have: a true motive. We found out that he didn't just want to rule cause he's a jerk like that. Rather, he resented the miserable conditions of the desert, and longed for the fresh wind of the rest of Hyrule. It would be forgivable if he hadn't been evil. If only he had tried to find a better place for his people rather than betray the king who clearly trusted him.

Completely agreed. I remember that essay you basically wrote on him back in the hay day.

Heres a question probably none of you can answer:

In TP: Zant tilts his neck at the end, I'm assuming Ganondorf's neck broke and the life in his eyes was lost. Does this mean Ganondorf is finally dead? And does this forshadow Zant's return in the next Zelda?

I doubt Zant is going to return...He wasn't that powerful until Ganon gave him power anyway.

We'll just have to see if Ganon is sill alive in Zelda Wii

I think it was Zant's neck that broke, and Ganon seemed to die as a result. Whether Ganon is dead or just mostly dead is up to future games to show.

Zant can't kill Ganon.

It is written said:
Only Link can defeat Ganon.
Seriously though, I don't think Ganon is dead, but it's quite a large possibility that Ganondorf is. Since we've already seen his deaths on both sides of the timeline now.

In TLoZ, ALttP, and etc...

Ganondorf's body was destroyed a long time ago and all that is left is Ganon...

I doubt Zant, who was weak and cowardly, not to mention probably schizophrenic, could kill Ganondorf though

Either way, he had the Master Sword stabbed through his chest.

I think the thing with Zant was just the result of Ganondorf breaking his promise of immortality to Zant, and so the Triforce of Power left him. (Though I'm not sure why it happened right when Link defeats him instead of when Zant is defeated)

Zelda Wii, the upcoming title, takes place in a whole new timeline/era if I recall, right? So we don't have to worry about the state of the Twilight's timeline of Ganondorf just yet.

Though if I had to make a guess, I would say that in that timeline, one of two things could be possible if Ganondorf remains. Without the Triforce of Power, in a magical world like the Zelda universe, anything is possible. And mayhaps through Ganondorf's sheer willpower and hatred of Zelda and Link, and his promise to rewrite the history of light and shadow in blood, he will be revitalized in one way or another, and this show of strength and determination beyond death (or wherever he may be) beckons for the Triforce of Power to return to him and thus the return of the King of Evil in that timeline. Either that or they could take "The Adventures of Link"'s approach with a ritual to resurrect him. It's easier to think simpler for plots instead of getting too complicate, that's why I think one of those two things could work for the Twilight Princess timeline.

Basically what P.I. said. Plus the mirror to the twilight realm is shattered forever. So we're possibly not seeing anymore twilight creatures.
