So, you've probabably all know that the "supposedly" first official tier list is out. Although I'm still hoping its a joke. So anyways what do you Ganon mainers think of Ganon's position?

For me, I think its absolute jack, not because of the actual placement, though I do think he should be much higher, but just the fact on how other characters in the same league as Ganon somehow did 10x as better.

Take Bowser for example. Terrible tourney resulsts, terrible match ups. (Though I'm not one to just decide how good or bad Bowser's match ups are.) Yet Bowser somehow reached Mid tier?

Am I the only one who thinks this is kind of...biased?

Meh, I always knew he was gonna place low, he really takes a lot of work to make use of effectively and he doesn't really offer much on usability. But that doesn't matter, it just makes it all the more satisfying when you destroy the higher tier characters :).

Bowser has better Tourney Results, can do 100% damage with one move, more weight and better matchups so he was put in mid

No he can't. Firebreath is the easiest attack in the world to SDI, in fact so easy you can SDI all the way behind Bowser and punish him if you have good reflexes.

I'm not surprised Ganondorf is this low. His lack of options against projectile spam really, really hurt him. However at least he's not the worst character in Brawl.

He seriously got higher than I expected... I figured he'd be last, maybe second-last, but he's actually higher than Link. Amazing.

Link must have really sh*tty recovery if he's sooooooo soooooooo low.

Honestly I was under the impression his recovery is no worse than Ganondorf's, and he can actually save himself from 0 degree knockback with his tether, and he can spam all day. His aerials can be thrown out more safely and stuff like that, but huh, Ganon beats him.

Anyways, you main a crappy character. This was apparent from day one. >.>
Yep! I love Ganon dearly, but it is very true that he sucks in several critical ways, most especially in the recovery department. Ganondorf's up-B does reach surprisingly high, and he has less gravity than Link, so I guess his recovery is better than the Hero of Time's. Dunno.

It is still a beautiful thing to beat characters like Snake and Marth using Ganondorf, mostly because the battle is so steeply uphill that the taste of victory is even sweeter. No, I don't really play to win during the "character selection" minigame :)

When you think of a tier list as comparing two characters used by two equally skilled players, at this point I'm not surprised that Ganondorf is so low. At best, I think he can rise to lower middle. But that's not a problem.

Ganondorf is almost entirely dependent on playing psychologically, using mindgames, winning prediction wars. If he does it more often than his opponent, he wins. If he does it equally or less, he loses.

Essentially, you HAVE to be better than your opponent to win with Ganondorf, but that has also been the game plan from Day 1.

Ganon's placement really wasn't too surprising. Having the worst tournament results doesn't exactly help you, though I honestly believe this is due to lack of players using him. But that really isn't the point.

But seriously, Bowser's tournament ranking is in the E-rank, his match ups, no matter how you look at them won't be too good, and his moveset hardly puts him at the area of mid tier. So really some characters just got smacked on the list for no reason at all.
