I'm thinking of buying a couple of Gamecube Controller Extenders, do they add any lag to the controllers?

Whenever I've used them I haven't had anything noticeable. There will technically be more time to get the input to the console due to physical length being added, but the signals should be more than fast enough to cover a few feet of wire, unless something is physically defective with any of your equipment.

Why should it be laggy?, unless you're controller happens to already be defective, then you shouldn't have to worry about it.

No, it does not.
But if you are measuring the milliseconds of lag that are not even enough to have any effect then you are right.
The only problem I have ever had with my wavebird is batteries , which is easily fixable.
