Galaxy 64 Tournament Thread! (DATE HAS CHANGED!!)

Doubles and Singles tournament rules:

Double Elimination

All matches are best of 3, with finals best of 5.

5 stock, 10 min Time limit

Team Attack On

No excessively STALLING a match! If caught doing so, you will be asked to stop with a warning. If you continue to do so, you will forfeit the match.
Items OFF

You may p2p your tournament matches.

If you lag below 56fps you will be given a chance to fix your lag and if it isn't fixed you will automatically forfeit that match.

You and your doubles partner must be at the place the tournament is being hosted at the time it starts if one of your partners doesn't show up you will forfeit the match

Foreigners: If you are in Europe and are going to play with an american or canadian player please make sure to understand that delay will be a factor in your match unless you find a server that suits both of you or p2p

People that are attending you are going to look for a user named "Galaxy 64 tournament" hosting a chat. Join that chat to be checked off




Stages/Characters:

Stages available: Peach's Castle, Hyrule Temple, Saffron City, Dreamland and Congo Jungle.

If a player plays Ness; he may demand a repick if Saffron City is selected as a random stage, however if the opponent is the loser he has the right it counter-pick Saffron City.

All other stages banned

First round stage is random unless players can agree upon a stage

Advanced Slob Picks - Loser may choose the next stage or elect to go to random, then winner may choose to change characters, then loser may change characters

All characters are legal.

Galaxy 64 Doubles tournament will be on the 13th of september

(same time)

Am I the only one who thinks that mod powers on a server is one of the most stupid rewards ever? I can understand that a lot of people would want them and they would want to work to something like that, but mod powers aren't something that should be used as a prize. Kaillera already has one of the worst communities that I have ever been on, next to /b/, and giving out mod powers like this will just make it a load worse.

If it was made into a money tournament only like 2-3 people would join.
Powers at the server is all I can give right now and is the most "affordable" for the people.
If this was decided by console players who call online smash "fake smash" they wouldn't bet a single dollar on an online tournament.

So unless you give me lots of money to use as the cash pot stay quiet.
