Fuzzyness needs some help on raising the money to make it to APEX 2013. Fuzzyness attended Genesis 2 and made bracket, placing 17th. Since then, he's attended several European tournaments and performed well, switching mains to Fox and performing better. Unfortunately he's had some bad luck with employment and won't be able to make it to APEX without some serious donation help.

If this fund does not reach the intended goal amount in time, and/or Fuzzyness doesn't attend APEX, everyone who donated will be given a full refund. Additionally, if Fuzzyness wins any $ at APEX, he will pay the earliest donators back with however much he can.

How to Donate: said:
  • Go to http://www.paypal.com
  • Click on the send money tab at the top
  • Enter -snip- as the recipient email
  • Enter the amount you wish to donate
  • Make sure to select the "Personal" tab instead of "Purchase", and choose gift as the option.
  • Click Continue
  • Confirm payment method (Add credit card if haven't already or don't have an account)
  • Scroll down, put "FUZZYNESS FUND DONATION" as the subject and put your smashboards username as the personal message so I can keep a list of everyone who donated.
  • Done!
Also to those who donate, keep in mind that if you pay from your paypal balance OR from your bank account, there will be no fees. If you pay with a credit card there is a percentage fee that they take out of your donation amount. It's like 2.9% plus $0.30. Just a heads up.

(Goal $1000)

Thank you so much Strong Bad, hope to see everyone at Apex

Another thing is that I've been placing well in teams in Europe, so it'll be interesting to see how far I achieve and hopefully teaming with Leffen for this

Project M is also more popular than melee atm in the UK for some reason, so our scene is getting really strong at that game and I got one stupid lucario xD people complain about it in the UK. I'd love to play people from around the world in Project M as well

I'll try to donate some if possible but honestly this seems very very unlikely to succeed...

also I'm still looking around for a teammate... ditching me and then coming back crawling when I ***** you isn't too nice is it

Well, considering how many other players are gonna want to get funded (like Javi, lots of americans etc) that will both cost a lot less and, honestly, are more likely to win back their money and/or are more interesting for the average guy makes this fund very unlikely to succeed.

I suggest that you try to pay at least a part of the fee yourself... suggesting that people will pay your entire ticket has always seemed weird to me.

it got even better novi, I started to use more tricks =)

thanks Novi, Leffen and SleepyK

Another thing Leffen, I'm not hating but the reason I teamed with Ice the next tournament was because of your attitude at ESA4 but you seem to be better now. I have nothing against you man all was gravy at SR

lol You must be a saint Fuzz. Can't really spare anything, but I hope you make it. But this Fox nonsense has to stop. Your Falcon is the truth. WHY CAN'T YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?!

why would we fund fuzzyness?

leffen has a really good point, there are way better people that need funding that are more entertaining and more likely to win their money back

I am not trying to be mean, like it doesnt hurt me for fuzzy to get money, but if you look at the big picture, if someone donates to fuzzy and then another thread comes along with someone they like to donate to more, they cant exactly ask for their money back, so we might end up having people "waste"
money on this thread just because its being made earlier

I know this comes off as me hating fuzzy or something but really im just trying to get the best apex and i just want other people to think about other possible candidates before donating to him, thats all

Mahone: If you don't want to donate to Fuzzyness then simply don't. Please take your negativity elsewhere.

Yeah, Mahone, quit being such a pragmatist for the sake of the quality of the tournament.

@Haggar
You're just as bad as Leffen, so idk how you feel entitled to ridicule him at every chance. At least his insensitive trolling comes with information relevant to Melee.

There's no argument of people "wasting" money imo, as people make their one isolated decision of whether they feel like donating a sum in order for that single person to be able to go. We buy weird **** all the time and sometimes it makes us wish we didnt at a later time but thats just how it works.

THAT SAID tho, I want to point out that this whole donation "system" is pretty much going off the rails and at this point I'd rather see smashboards structure it all up, perhaps by using that new (or improved? idk) ranking client that was based on tournament wins. I know it has a ****ton of flaws but I think it would be better that we all could donate to a bigger fund that then distributed the money in a more disciplined and fair manner, perhaps integrated with polls.

Good luck fuzzy! It would be mad cool if there were people in the scene big-hearted enough to fund you.

I'll only donate to this if Fuzzy does well at B3AST 3 or some other significant tournament before then.

It'll be cool to see fuzzyness. You people are all forgetting how big Project M was at FC legacy which also had a POT PRIZE. Fuzzyness is one of the best Lucario's in the world. He has a higher chance IMO than most American players at actually winning the event. Especially since Project M is more popular in the UK than it is in America. (In terms of putting time into the game that is) I can't donate because of money issues, but if you do go Fuzzyness **** everyone in PM lol. They don't know bout that Lucario
