Freaky *** glitch on Onett?

This is is honestly the first time ive ever seen this, ive tried duplicating it, but it seems as if its one of those "Once in a blue moon" things

I was play as captain falcon on Classic mode (Normal Mode, trying to unlock all the characters again, save got deleted ), when one of the stages was Team Ness

As you can see by the diagram, this is what happened

1. Ness strikes me with fSmash
2. Mash out of it, end up using upB
3.End up flying toward a Ness
4.Ness bAirs me
5.I fly back assuring certain death, then suddenly Falcon Flies back toward the middle of the stage as if he hit a wall and bounced back (the colored impact flash even happened, WTF?)
6.End up on the top Awning, WTF and Taunt like a boss



okay its not that freaky, but holy ****, it caught me off guard and i was like wutting everywhere. Afterwards i killed all the Ness's showing no mercy

Its probably a ceiling glitch, you can do this with Roy's counter move.

So up to event 4 everything was normal. 4 shows a green blob, that's Ness bair'ing you? 5 is the only freaky event right, where from certainly dying, Captain Falcon "whomped" off something (making the white smoke / green smack?) then flew back to 6 (normal, given event 5)?

yes that is correct


however im not sure if there was smoke or not, since i was amazed at what the hell happened lol, just the green flash is what i remember from the hit on the "invisible wall of wat"

Never heard of a vertical green-whomp wall random glitch. Interesting, too bad it wasn't recorded (as these never are)

Edit: Had anything else hit you? Were there any cars on screen? I can't see how this is possible if only the events you described were all that happened. What was the 3rd Ness doing? Any other irregular events the rest of classic mode? How long had your gamecube been on? What version is the disc (the tiny numbers on inside ring of reflective rainbow side -- below picture shows 1.00)

iirc, the third ness was on top of the house on the right, underneath the flags/awning/w.e they are, the sound the honk of a car sounded off, but the car didnt appear until event 6


im using a burned copy of melee, how do i figure out what version it is?

no, he just stood there LOL

ill try and figure out tonight what version it was, im pretty sure when the game loads via Neogamma, neogamma tells me what version it is...i dont remember lol
