Okay, so this is just for funsies.

Explanation of mechanics (just stuff I'm assuming, I'd have to ask someone with AR to see for sure):

Wavedash down. Don't release your trigger, so that your shield pops up on the first possible frame. Also, keep holding down on your control stick. Alternatively, you can plug in your controller while holding up so that it stays down. Now, try to shine at the same time your shield pops up after your wavedash landing lag. If you do it right, you can shine instead of having your first frame shield come up.

My assumption is that shine takes priority over shield when both inputs are available on the same frame.

See how many times you can shine in a row without having your shield come up. :)

I must say...for a Cactuar thread, being serious is diappointing. Oh wait this technique is pointless...**** trolled again by Cactuar.

Still... <3 cactuar. I wanna play you more, of all the good PA players i think i played you the least

Alternatively you can try my frame challenge. Without using any stick to jump, jump cancel a grab while holding the shine(b) button with the same motion of the index finger before the shine goes into its ending animation... The game will basically be reading your finger at two different places but its just fingers being fast...

There are other good PA players?

And yes, this is completely pointless. It's just a timing exercise.

Taki, couldn't I just use X to jump and hit it with the lower part of the index finger while still touching the z button with the tip? Also, that's not really a frame challenge, just a finger speed challenge. There is a pretty wide margin of error to being able to do that. Mine requires no finger speed, just timing.

yeah i got 7 in a row. Beyond that one time its like 1, 2, 3, **** up, 1, 2, 3, 4, **** up.

Its hard at first but once you get a feel for when the WD ends its pretty simple.
