This is a pretty much one post reply thread, but I think it is very important. I am currently unaware of what type of DI needs to be applied in order to escape the second (and the obviously more deadly hit) hit of Fox's u-air. Being able to DI this move perfectly every time would increase just about everything, since this is mainly the move I am killed by. Not addressing the up smash, which simply needs to be crouch canceled or DI'ed away from the most obvious of set ups (drill shines).

Anyways, let me know.

You would smash DI with the control stick in the opposite direction that you DI'd the up throw.

If you didn't DI the throw and just went straight up, than it doesn't matter which direction you smash DI. But it has to be either to the left or to the right.

Recap - Already DI'ing = Smash DI in opposite direction.
No DI = Doesn't matter which direction you Smash DI

Hope this helps.

Dunno, but recently I have been working on double stick tech's and such. It is so good to get down, I can get it only so often, but it helps so much. I figure getting out of u-air's would be a good thing to have down as well.

well, it seems to also help if you double jump as soon as possible (after u-throw)
it seems the 2nd hit fails if your up to high, and often, if the fox just does fj uair, it´ll not hit fully ^^

just try it a couple of time (you waste your snd jump that way though.. but it has an pretty good effectiveness rate after uthrow i think)

lol, it never ceases to amaze me the tech mistakes i see in pro matches..even though they could 4 stock me:p

sigh, i kinda understand though..i couldn't do my full tech capability at the first tourney i went to...nervousness..here's to the next time though:p

curious though drephen..do you practice tech skill much? maybe that's whY? i always tend to practice at least 2 hrs most days on tech skill.. when i'm learning a new skill i do 6-8 usually
