1.Im sure this has been answered many times. I made an effort to find the link no dice. Whats the soonest u can wavedash out of foxes shine. And is there a way to practice WD out of the Shine as quickly as possible?

2. What if I WD out of it took quickly will my guy just jump. Cause I used to think i was jumping because I was hitting R way too fast after hitting X.

3. Can it be both?

As in my WD too quickly out of my shine

or

Me just hitting R too quick so my wave dash fails?

What would happen in each of the scenerios.

1.
Just like wavedashing, after being able to do it consistently you just get naturally faster over time.

2.

You pressed R within the jump animation, you need to wait 4 frames after you jump to wavedash or else you'll just jump.

3.
I don't know what "WD too quickly means," just press L/R after 4 frames.

Just focus on doing it, doesn't matter if it takes 10 seconds per waveshine, just focus on doing it. You will get faster eventually, so quit asking about how to get faster.

I mean my waveshine isnt slow by anymeans. But Ive been playing the game for 3 years and I feel like i cannot get it any faster. I was just wondering if there was ways via frame programs or something.

Shine and pretend the shine isn't there and just wave dash. after you land you shine again and then wave dash. If you wave dash quickly then you should be able to waveshine quickly as well.

The same jump you used to cancel the shine is the one used to wave dash. If you can wave shine peach / falcon across the stage just fine then your speed is good to go unless you just really want to get faster for some reason.

Shine is JCable on the 3rd frame so make sure you aren't sitting in there any longer than that. If you hit with shine it throws on an extra 3 frames of hitlag, so you can get outta your shine by frame 6. If you're doing that then you're waveshining at max speed.

Unfortunately, you still need to wait 4 frames to airdodge, otherwise he'll JC the shine and that's all. However you can increase the length of your wavedash by tilting it nearly horizontal, you should be able to waveshine up till Marth (unless they DI.)

I'm not sure how fast you want to go, but waveshining Fox would be sexy, (you can't really do it, DI ruins it.) Go watch FluxWolf's videos, they're stickied on the Fox page, his introduction shows him waveshining a CPU Fox.

EDIT: If you want to know if you're air dodging ASAP, listen to Fox as you're WDing, if you hear "ooh-tah" or something like that then that means you're air-dodging too late. He should be completely silent.

the best advice i can give for practicing inputs with multiple commands is to break it down piece by piece, and do it very slowly. if you want to practice waveshines, first shine, then jump, then air dodge into the ground, in that order. don't try to do it as fast as possible or you'll try to do everything at once because your fingers aren't used to the movements of a waveshine. practice doing it as slow as possible, then gradually speed it up and keep practicing until it's second nature.

4th frame. you just have to practice. being super fast really isn't a necessity unless you're thunders-ing (i<3smashverbs) i doubt you are trying this too fast (at least for me, its pretty difficult to do b->y in less than 4 frames)

i dont really understand? WD is jump airdodge. if you jump then double jump you will see the little circles under your feet and the rest of the double jump animation don't try to WD too fast, keep it slow and find the rhythm instead of just trying to do it as fast as you can.

if you try to jump out of shine before 4th frame, you will jump on fourth frame i believe.

if you press R before you're in the air, you will jump and not airdodge (NOT second jump. just regular normal short hop or full hop)
